I for one do not like the result of this primary race, but who would after they put their heart and soul into wanting to win. It was a classic battle, but Trump won. Just like military academies teach the logistics of histories greatest battles of war, so too will this epic battle be taught for generations to come by Political Science instructors. The lessons learned will effect the way politicians run their campaigns for decades.
Both sides got down and dirty, as they obliterated the detente that made everyone speculate about why the they refused to attack each other so early in the campaign. Often times those who are the best of friends can have the nastiest of breakups. Like a divorce that brings out the worse of two decent and honorable people, the Trump/Cruz war did not fail entertain the MSM, as supporters of both sides took things so personal that even family members ended up with strained relationships.
Being the youngest of 8 children I have seen my share of rough and tumble, knife throwing, dinner destroying, hair removing, black eye, and fat lip arguments over things that only siblings could lose it over. Well ladies and gentleman, like my parents said when enough was enough, “It's over, it's time to let it go!” Time to head to your own corner and stop.
FreeRepublic is a family. A dysfunctional one at times, but still a family. I would advise everyone from both sides of this fight to do as our parents told us. Drop it, and make up. Stop already with the insults, and accept defeat as a gracious loser or be humble in your win. Nothing good will come from those who are unable to drop the weapons and shake hands.
As for not voting for Trump in the General. Let me make this perfectly clear, with no ambiguity. When the Republican Convention anoints their candidate, regardless of who it is, I will vote for that candidate in November. I would just as soon murder my whole family and then drink cyanide before I allow my vote to get any Democrat elected to the White House. There is no greater threat what remains of our freedom than Hillary Clinton becoming the leader of this once great nation.
So with the words of a great American, which echo in my head when the going gets tough, I offer this phrase to all. “Let's Roll!” But let us all roll together for a common cause, the total and complete destruction of Hillary Clinton.
God bless America, and God bless Jim's vision for a great forum where true American's can come together to agree or at times even get rough and tumble as we throw knives, remove hair, give and get black eyes and fat lips.

Indeed, it sure got ugly around here. I am one '98er who was sickened by the whole spectacle. The sooner we drop that crap and get on with the business of saving this Republic, the better!
Forget about talking to Trump supporters about their lack of civility. They, like Trump, spit on civility.
Just remember: “Revenge is a dish best served cold.” Your time will come to rub their noses in it. Count on it.
Trump is crude. Some of his positions are outright liberal. But he's a Populist. not a conservative. He's an ally against the Globalists who have infiltrated both parties.
On my two dearest issues (illegal immigration and the Second Amendment) Trump and I share values. Those are enough, for now.

Donald is brilliant and tireless, and he knows ALL the dirt on the criminal Hillary. Not being PC crippled and spineless as the rest of the politicians, he will hit her with ALL of it.

Applause! We’ve been through the last 8 sucky years and (for me), the 4 before that together... The FR family helped me maintain my spirits with humor, thoughtful discussion and some very fine people. I have learned much. I am not willing to lose that. This place has been my refuge.
We are not monolithic and I hope we never are. Trump wasn’t my first choice, either. But it became clear to me over time that he is the only one that can beat the Clinton machine. And I owe him a YUGE debt of gratitude for fully opening my eyes to the Gop uniparty. Sarah Palin did a good job pointing it out and fighting it on her own turf in Alaska but the all out assault from both sides overcame her.
I am so disgusted with myself that I fell in line and pulled a lever for Romney. The party of Jeb, Mitt, Lindsay and Mitch is history.

Only because the repeated accusation of "LIAR" had become a popular "current topic." It should never have been a current topic in the absence of better proof than I have yet seen.
So far, every time I have looked into one of Ted Cruz's supposed lies, I have found the accusation to be irresponsible and non objective.

That other people have done wrong, does not justify the further doing of wrong. We ought to have some sense of ethics.
I haven't listened to Limbaugh in years, but I happened to turn the radio on today and I heard him mentioning this very topic; That is is soul sapping to have everyone constantly accusing you of the worst behavior and accusing you of being the worst sort of human being.
Limbaugh mentioned that someone had suggested Cruz was like the Zodiak Killer, and he said that was before this "Lee Harvey Oswald" stuff ever got started.
It was over the top vile. It wasn't funny, it was exactly the sort of mindless emotional Zealotry that we ordinarily condemn when coming from the left-wing moon-bats.
