They are working on Fresh Water Diversions but the Mississippi may just divert itself and New Orleans may become a swamp without a River no matter what they try.
Obama’s Stash isn’t big enough to stop the River if it decides to depart the pattern. (One good flood could do it)
Army Corps of Engineers have been on it for decades. Pretty interesting study and History, has a bunch of unique outcomes most of which don’t favor New Orleans.

Salt water intrusion is happening because the river is channeled, and any silt carried during flooding goes right into deeper water. The current delta is slowly being eroded into the ocean by tidal action, especially during hurricanes. Remove the dikes, let the river spread and deposit silt during floods, and the delta will revive. The minor downside is you say goodbye to New Orleans as it presently exists.
Need some help here... Was talking about this with a professor at a local university... An environmental science guru. He said it’s not that the climate is changing... It is the speed at which it is changing... And that it would / could cause mass migrations from coastlines like Bangladesh. Which would be a problem if happened too quickly... Any thoughts? Thanks

I did not realize that the situation has become so dire that it has morphed from “global warming” to “CLIMATE CRISIS!!!!!”
While I slept I didn’t hear the alarm bells ringing and now I wake up to this horrible fact!
What can we do? I need to call Chicken Little for advice as soon as I put on my sunscreen and UV protective clothing.
It’s simply TERRIBLE! I have to give more money (along with everyone else who is going to be roasted by the sun) to “fat Al’s” scam so we can be safe.

In my "retirement" specialty as a transportation professional (taxi driver), I took a University of Maine Professor Emeritus of Blah Blah to the airport in November, on his way to Vallhalla (Paris) for the big conclave.
He made the mistake of engaging, and in a snotty way.
It ended when he said, "You won't think you're so smart when the ocean rises and there are no more beaches." I said, "When the oceans rise, sir, new beaches."
He never spoke the rest of the way.
I assisted with his bags and he tipped well.
I could only smile.
