That’s the big deal here.
Manila has dominated too long.
It’s holding the country back.

If she has milk or cream, sugar, eggs, flour and vanilla...and, of course, bananas and wafers.....you’re good to go. If you top that off with homemade whipped cream, you’ll think you’re somewhere in the southern US ;-)

FWIW, ch 10 on Cignal has CNN Philippines and it is all English with reporters on the ground throughout the country. It's interesting to watch! Foreigners are forbidden to participate in politics with punishment of expulsion from the country!
I stay out of their way, but do have friends in politics here.
Knarf, where do plan to live, Davao?

I've been trying to convince here to make a custard but she has qualms. I don't push, and you've seen some of her results! I am just preparing for the last slice of Cadbury's Bday cheesecake!!!

The Filipina had a “flamboyant lifestyle”? The kidnappings were 5 minutes from Davao city via ferry.
Do politicians coordinate some kidnappings with the Moros?

why are you posting on an American forum?.....don’t they have forums in the Phillipines that you can post to?....if you don’t live here in the USA what happens here should be none of your business...

Yesterday, she was so happy because she bought some avocados, with a plan to make freezer ice cream. It was her first attempt and I was sitting at the computer when she calls out "can you help me, please" through the door.
Naturally, I snapped up and ran out the door. She had been trying to whip some cream and it was runny. I took control of the mixer, put it on high and quickly had soft peaks, as required. Then, I helped her fold it into the avocado/lemon puree, and place into the pan. Later, I showed her to take it from the freezer and stir it up before it gets hard. I learned long ago to do that to keep it from getting too hard.
So, she has her ice cream, and I hope to have my 'nana pudding. In the mean time, I'll force myself to eat that last slice of cheesecake!

....if you dont live here in the USA what happens here should be none of your business...KMA! What goes on with FreeRepublic is up to Jim Thompson, not some wannabe whiner. There are obviously (if you follow the thread) lots of us in the Philippines and/or with Filipino friends and family. We are Americans living offshore.
My home address is in NC, and I last lived in Wash, DC. I last registered to vote and voted while at the Armed Forces Retirement Home in Gulfport, MS.
I choose to live here now, but I am certainly more American than Teddy Bare Cruz!
Vote Trump!

Probably. When a terrorist group or cartel can seemingly operate without hindrance, somebody with pull is helping them.

You seem obsessed with gruesome stuff, there, FRiend. I did not look at the video then, and will not give it my time now. I know what happened.
Did you find a video of the shooting in California?

You were blaming the Canadian man for his kidnapping and beheading not the Muslims.
To: bushpilot2
no, I was explaining why he was a good target. I never blamed him for anything. You seem to be making things up as you go!
Your obsession is duly noted and I don't see any further conversation needed.
Have a good life.
Vote Trump!

In the Davao City area foreigners are targets if they don’t live in a $100 a month rental property.
