Bathroom assignment has always been by biological sex not gender which is a nonsense subjective construct based on internal feelings.

If a “transgendered” person has had all the surgery (Penectomy, boob job, etc), and takes hormones, and essentially looks like a woman, they should go to the ladies room. They would stand out and cause even more of a ruckas if they went to the men’s room. I don’t think most people would even notice those people going into ladies rooms.

It’s all in the way the question is phrased. Ask “Should creepy sexually perverted men have unfettered access to womens’ rest rooms?” and see what the result is.

The poll was loaded with propaganda terms: “gender identity,” “protection,” “family member or close friend” who identifies with this disorder, etc.

The language makes all the difference.

Here is what should have been asked.

“Do you favor a law which prohibits men and women from using any restroom they want?”

“Do you favor or oppose laws which mandate that a private company hire open homosexuals are cross-dressing men and women.”

You’d get a completely different response.

I also noticed that the relevant poll questions started at “37.” meaning that there were likely a lot of lead-up (softening) questions before this.

I don’t think the survey was taken at random nor do I think it was taken at all. It’s CNN after all and we all know what they are. It’s easy to line up the usual suspects and ask them questions that you already know they will answer correctly and the Communist News Network has always slanted surveys in that manner.

This is absurd for conservatives to want even more government to fix a problem that does not exist. We don’t need any more feel good laws or any more government agencies staffed with pension for life government bureaucrats either.
