I agree. That’s a very impressive picture of her.
I’m tired of the Bush family but George W Bush conducted himself and the affairs of the country with dignity and honor.
I have plenty of disagreements with W on his policies and decisions, but you are spot on. The character of a man is defined by how he treats others and W was a gentleman through and through.
I cant wait to see what Mr Trump is going to do if he becomes president. I think a lot are delusional about his global views and how differently he would react compared to how President Bush reacted.
His calm and resolve in the first hours and days was wonderful.
However following that, he didn’t go far enough in Afghanistan, and went too quickly on Iraq in my view.
We should have made Afghanistan an example, to never be forgotten.
But instead we responded with the “hearts and minds” mentality.
The message it sent, is we are too weak, and lack serious commitment to total victory.

Thanks for sharing the photos. Brings back memories of such a somber day. In spite of much of the discussion going on in this thread, the White House and those involved in the administration seemed to be much more honorable than those currently occupying the buildings and roles. IMHO

Thanks Johhnie...it’s about as descriptive in nature as the rapture! I hear all the time that it is coming and have heard it for 30+ years but I’ll be damned if I can identify when that inescapable rapture is to occur!

After 9/11, I erred on the side of trusting the Bushes and their minions. Now I err on the side of distrusting them. Both roles are extreme in nature. I can live with that. I detest the Bushes, and Rice. She was totally unqualified for her position at NSA, much as Albright was at State.
That I can agree with! You did exactly what I wished others would do, have a respectful disagreement and not attack the man’s character. When that is done to W. I tune out.
I too found him to be of great character and would have followed up with the wrath of hell upon them.
Not flying out hundreds of Saudi VIPs and the Bin Laden family in gov't jets while the rest of America was grounded after 9/11 would have been a good start. Trump mentioned this in the context of San Bernardino and Boston...as far as who else knew and helped? The "28 pages" supposedly put that in some detail. MANY Saudi nationals knew, and likely helped. Bush shattered the evidentiary chain by letting them all escape the U.S. after the attacks.
The point of the last sentence was to confirm the veracity of the previous sentence.
