Actually, so far, the people accept the trade deficit and subcontracting because the result is better living in an affordable fashion. That's funny. I am still waiting for Nabisco and Carrier to announce price reduction on their products made in Mexico and shipped to the USA.

why would the companies lower prices? The reason to buy labor else where is to remain in business and make a profit from the normal products.

If we end offshoring and moving money overseas I would support trickle down because the rich and their tax savings would be stuck behind the American wall so it would be trickle down again. But right now the rich take the tax savings out of the USA. I have heard proposals to woo the rich back but at such drastic cuts in revenue for the govt that it would actually cost us middle class people more money to bring the wealth back. The way Walmart costs me tax money for govt funding their employee's healthcare costs.
This is not being socialist - this is hard core conservative appraisals of reality. If the globalists want the USA to patrol the world to keep so called free trade routes open, etc - then they should pay up - God knows their kids don't join the military.

So let's see, Ford made huge profits before moving to Mexico. UT (Carrier Parent) was making huge profits before moving to Mexico. So it is about increasing already large profits and laying off Americans and the consumer sees no benefit at all.
We are on the road to socialism FRiend hopefully Trump can stop the insanity.
More tariff and less income taxes.

He is not strictly a conservative or a constitutionalist...though his stated policies are far more conservative than any of the GOPe candidates he defeated. The salient point that #nevertrumpers fail to understand when they wail about Trump's Constitutional bona fides is more than any other candidate he represents a traditional American understanding of right and wrong.
They're fixate on The Constitution, but ignore having a government that respects American sensibilities, as well as the consent of the governed.

Your assertions are false and a biased misreading of history And you are conflating foreign policy with trade policy.
If you are as informed as you present yourself, that bit of trickery MUST be deliberate.
