Actually, I don’t think it’ll be a “snoozer”. Trump’s a showman. I bet it will be one of those rarest of political events: a helluva lot of fun.
They cannot competently steal an election. This is impressive. No wonder this country is in trouble.

I live in philly. it could be fun for a change. i was hoping for just avoiding the typical stench of summer. might be entertaining. Only problem it is in the wells fargo center. very far away from me. maybe we can make ice.

This sounds like something Cruz would have down, and not surprisingly, it pisses people off.
Just guessing but I think that was what was tried in Reno at the Nevada Republican Convention. It erupted in a fist fight and police were called. Something really set people off.

I don’t think her ego would let her withdraw, but I would laugh so much if she had one of her coughing episodes during her acceptance speech, or better yet, during the debates with Trump

I don’t know anyone who was there and haven’t picked up any rumors yet on what happened but it really turned into a circus. Lots of angry people. Prior to that several people had resigned.

There is nothing democratic about the Democrat Party
I read about that at the county level, but the state convention seem ok:
RENO (AP) — Nevada Republican Party Chairman Michael McDonald urged delegates at the state GOP convention Saturday to put their fractured past behind them and unite behind Donald Trump’s presidential campaign to keep Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton out of the White House.
Trump backers feared some who opposed the billionaire when he won Nevada’s caucuses in February would try to deny him all his delegates to the national convention.
But with the majority of the 1,086 state delegates chanting “Trump, Trump, Trump,” they carried a series of key early votes at the state convention in Reno on Saturday where the single most popular theme was “anyone but Hillary.”
The biggest surprise in a day missing the nasty floor fights of past conventions may have come when three different races for alternate delegate slots to the national convention in Cleveland in July ended in ties and had to be settled by a tradition unique to Nevada — drawing cards.
Even better, in 1968 Chicago newspaper columnist referred to Richard J. Daley as "The Great Dumpling" sitting and watching the protestors. I wonder what term of endearment somebody will invent for Hillary.
