We all know the commie press would burn Whole Foods to the ground if they counter-sued.

Whole Foods is on the big board: opportunity for publicity, if not for filthy lucre.
But you are correct: WF is at least semi-flaming leftist in general orientation, employment, and clientele. I heard Sean Hannity interview the CEO, John Mackey, once as though he were this great conservative capitalist; I did not know whether to laugh or cry. (I tried to call into the show for my one and only time to question this, but the call screener refused to let me on.)
For several years, I saw Adbusters magazine at the checkout of numerous Whole Foods; that is a flaming communist propaganda rag.
IMO, Mackey is a conservative and capitalist in the same way that Mitt Romney is; IOW, he isn’t, he’s a corporatist and a globalist, and no friend to true patriots.

LOL - totally. There are so many fake hate crime stories (see my ping list, above) and there are many other suspect cases which never are fully revealed.
The cake decorator should sue him. Can only think about what kind of trouble this scumbags lie might have caused them.
Probably didn’t even consider the damage to the employee, he just wanted money and attention.
My first reaction was, “Gay pastor?!” Then I saw it was Austin, that explains it all.
No joke, why does this guy get to just walk away? He was out to ruin lives and take money not rightfully his. If he can’t substantiate it, that’s a crime in my book.
In other words, they were shut down but don’t want to come across bitter by it.
