Teary-eyed Cruz: This movement doesn’t go away in one election
The Hill ^ | 05/16/2016 | Caitlin Yilek

A teary-eyed Ted Cruz is hinting that he’s leaving the door open for another White House bid in a newly released video titled "No regrets."

The 5-minute video opens with a campaign staffer asking if the Cruz camp made it “through this without regrets.” “This is nearly a regret-free campaign,” he says. “Ted Cruz didn’t lose. Our campaign for president lost.”

That’s the perfect analogy.

If Trump were to lose, Cruz might have a chance in four years

Only if he gets a grip on himself and starts fully supporting Trump. Even then it may be too late, but that's his only option if he wants to remain politically viable.

P.S. Trump won't lose.

EXCELLENT POINT---- Cruz could have gone on talk shows as Trump did....but he chose a different route til the last weeks of the campaign. By
then, it was too little too late.

In point of fact, Cruz bombed on talk shows......the more visible he became,
the more he spoke, the more viewers realized he was not fit to be president.

...just my take on the guy. Phony, fraud, charlatan. Anything but the leader of this great nation.

Yeah, I got that too. He crafted an image of himself meant to appeal to the media stereotype of conservatives. His phony preacher talk, his slogan "TrusTED" urging us to trust him, his blaming Trump for Soros goons showing up to disrupt rallies--nope, definitely not presidential material, now or ever.

To think, once upon a time, I thought Trump/Cruz would be a dream ticket. But Cruz's campaign showed me otherwise.

Go, Trump! Presidential from day one!

.....Cruz did manage to accomplish something that Liberals tried for years
and couldn’t: End the radio careers of Limbaugh, Levin, Beck, and others....

Love it.

Seems anything and anybody in contact w/ Cruz dies a miserable death.

He's the political version of Typhoid Mary.

We need to do the research to put this fraud out of business once and for all.

No regrets?

I have one—I sent Cruz money when he announced.

That was before he revealed himself to be a phony and a huckster who was constitutionally ineligible to the office of President.

We need to find out if what his mother’s next door neighbor said is true—that his mother renounced her American citizenship when she and his father emigrated to Canada in 1967. According to Bill Still, he has located this woman.

If true, Mrs. Cruz was a Canadian citizen at the the time of Cruz’s birth in 1970.

In any event, Cruz was born a natural born citizen of Canada.

And where is his CRBA?

He doesn’t have one, which would mean he is a Canadian citizen at birth, or he refuses to release it for it will show he is in fact a naturalized citizen.

And he ignited nothing.

he was revealed to be an insider tasked to corral the conservative vote for the GOP establishment, by posing to be the ultimate outsider.

If Trump had not come along, it would have worked.

It is time to finally unmask this Cruz charlatan.

Cruz has been BSing that he "started a movement"......

As you insightfully posted: Cruz stole that from Donald after it was reported that Trump's gigantic serial wins were actually a movement.... a revolution in the making.

Cruz had a devilish, evil mind game going....vilely insulting Donald at every turn, but sticking to him like glue, hoping some of Donald's glitter would fall on him.

It never did, natch.

Very true, and long overdue.

Nothing but GOP-E Pied Pipers, whose job it was to keep conservatives on the GOP plantation, without doing anything to promote "conservatism".

Also of interest: Who can we find to run in Texas against Cruz? What are the deadlines for a primary challenger for the 2018 election? Cruz really needs to go.

I stopped listening to Steve Deace around the beginning of February. My podcatcher gets his program, and even the FILENAMES, which used to show just the date, started showing anti-Trump poison. A TYPICAL filename: Trump—Troll or Moron

I have heard only snippets of Deace for three months, each time he was repeating Cruz’s lies (Trump loves Obamacare.) or attacking Trump as an anti-Christian degenerate. (He’s divorced! He’s never asked God forgiveness!)

I think Deace is going to support Cruz through November. And then his career will be dead.

“This is nearly a regret-free campaign,” he says. “Ted Cruz didn’t lose. Our campaign for president lost.”

That's the difference between a nose in the air lecturer and a down to earth business man - the lecturer sets blame on the "campaign" (it was HIS FREAKING CAMPAIGN) and the down to earth guy adjusts.

Funny how Cruz was mocking Trump for his ineptitude at running a campaign and being prepared to keep delegates from being stolen/subverted, then blames his campaign instead of himself for his loss.

Ted - YOU LOST!!! Go home and cry - we don't feel sorry for you.

He came in 2nd in the primary, so I suspect they’ll let him speak at the convention. Not everyone in the country thinks as poorly of him as the majority of this forum seems to.

Deace is pure scum and probably sold his support to Cruz for money. I suspect this was the case for other prominent Cruzers in Iowa as well, particularly one (whose name I forget) who was accused of selling his support to Santorum and of trying to get money out of team Romney at the time. The more holier than thou they are, and desperate in their ravings, the more likely their conscience is secretly burdened.

Well done. Glad that you got this out there. :-)

Ted Cruz suffers from a lack of authenticity.

The more that you get to know him, the less there is to like.

Ted Cruz-the man, does not match the Principled Conservative senator.

Cruz has greatly damaged his brand in the name of conservatism.

And he’s a p!ss poor actor, to boot.

You make a good point. I haven’t heard anyone else say what you just did, but that makes perfect sense.
