There’s a whole lot of good news and ‘splodey head angst in the latest ABC/Washington Post national poll (full pdf below). The poll sample size of 1005 includes a mix of 33% Democrat, 27% Republican and 35% Independent. Democrats over sampled by eight points, (D+8).
However, even with the sample skew (D+8) Donald Trump still beats Hillary Clinton 46% to 44%, and Trump is crushing Clinton with Independent voters 48% to 35%.
In addition to the overwhelming 13 point polling lead among independent voters, the same poll shows that 20% of Bernie Sanders supporters will vote for Donald Trump.

Hillary is going to pull out all the stops to block Donald glide to the White House. She may make the same mistake Little Marco did, in wallowing in the rhetorical muds with Donald, and becoming disgusted with the changes.
Uh-oh. Hillary torpedoing Bernie is going to sink her as well. The Trump vote has always been a protest vote on the Right; if it becomes that on the Left as well, it’s all over.

If/when RCP updates its average with the new ABC, NBC and Reuters polls (and that old CNN 54-41 poll rolls off), Hillary’s lead in the AVERAGE of the last 6 polls drops to 0.5 %. Expect them to REALLY freak out then.
This poll, like the one from CBS/NYT over samples democrats by 8%. One of the comments on Conservative Treehouse said when adjusted, Trump leads Crooked Hillary 52% to 45%.
This will be the first time the Clinton machine has had to deal with an adversary with power, money, connections and grit.
I think the raddled harridan will be beaten into collops.

Too much to hope for 20% of sanders support. I do think we’ll easily reach 15% crossover from Democrats.
Bernie Sanders can put Hillary away. He just has to start calling her crooked Hillary.
More good news: this is an RV poll, not an LV poll.
A properly sampled LV poll may show him leading prohibitively.
I don’t trust RCP. I have been following since 1999. They rarely update when the R is doing well. They pick and chose polls. When they are wrong they scrub and change the format. I am not questioning the results. I question the motives.
The week of the 5 primaries I wrote down all the information from the past couple of weeks. Hillary was at least 5 points over selected. Trump was around 7 points under selected. While I don’t question the polls themselves, I question which polls they use. You can look into the longer results and probably should. RCP does have all the results if you look deeply. Take it for what it is worth. TRUMP is going to reduce Hillary to quit the race. Her own people want that but none will dare let her know that.
No question.
