BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Freddie Gray arresting officer Edward Nero has been found not guilty on all counts by Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Barry Williams.

Nero faced charges of second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and two counts of misconduct in office.

Nero waived his right to a trial by jury. His bench trial began May 12 and final arguments were heard Thursday.

Gray, a 25-year-old black man from the Sandtown area of Baltimore, died on April 19, 2015 of a spinal cord injury he sustained while in police custody.

His death set off more than a week of protests followed by looting, rioting and arson that prompted a citywide curfew.

Nero waived his right to a trial by jury.

With this political prosecution, I would look at the judge's skin color, check for insane politics, and then go for the bench trial if the judge belonged in the job.

I wish I was joking but the CVS that was burned in the last protest just reopened a couple of weeks ago. Complaints were that people needing prescription controlled substances had to go to other pharmacies as many weren’t available at that CVS. Hmm. I wonder why? Not really.

Ruh Roh! I can hear the motor coaches firin’ up now. Bring on the paid protestors and give them a free fire zone to pillage per the ‘mares’ instructions.

The Judge must be an Orioles fan. He handed down his verdict when the Orioles are on a week long road trip. Now they won’t have to play in an empty stadium. Or more empty than usual.

Of course, they could always have played the White Sox, like when the stadium was closed to the public during last year’s riots. The White Sox could have worn their home jerseys and they wouldn’t have noticed any difference.

Considering that it’s Monday....it’s going to be a rough week for the DA.

My humble guess is that some review will occur, and the remaining episodes left are going to be considered utterly lost. The DA will call around to find some foundation who needs a loser for six months, and just hook up with them....leaving Baltimore by mid-June.

At this point, the only thing Baltimore can do to honor Freddie....is to put up a statue.

When the Government brings criminal charges for political reasons this is the result you get.

All violent protest and/or looting and destruction should be met with DEADLY FORCE. Of course the Marxists of Baltimore won’t allow that. Never waste a good crisis

If they find the officers guilty the city is lost anyway. AS the police have done already since this incident they will continue to do as little as possible. They will let the “animals” sort it out and do whatever they have to do to preserve their lives and jobs.

I’m sure another round of riots will help the tourism industry, right? Right?
