I don’t know that Hubby can even cook. He can warm up a few things but as for whipping up a nice meal .... ?

I whip up casseroles pretty often that he can heat up whenever he’s ready to eat. He spends so much time at the garage - like tonight - that I never know when he’ll be in the house at suppertime.

But I slipped in first by a nanosecond. :-)

We don't do nanoseconds on FR.

Oh, look, PROCON comes before radu, alphabetically....LOL!

I was watching “12 Monkeys” on SyFy. They didn’t follow the movie, which I really liked, but it turned out to be pretty good. I like off-the-wall shows and it fits the bill. And it’s one that you have to pay close attention to or you’ll miss something significant and be lost the rest of the show. I like shows like that.

For reasons apparent to anyone who knows me, and in these darkening days, I find it necessary to post this item again:

GOD BLESS AND PROTECT OUR TROOPS AND OUR BELOVED NATION!

"I FOUGHT FOR YOU!"
(Click)

Several years ago, I saw this video on YouTube and, sentimental old geezer that I am, I was moved. I showed it to my young sons, who much like the boys in the video, were preoccupied with their Game-Boys and I-Pods. When it was over, I glared at them with piercing eyes and told them straight out:

"I FOUGHT FOR YOU!"

I was most heartened to see that they responded as I had hoped they would ~ they have been asking me ever since about the Vietnam War, our present war, and our Nation and what it means.

I am more convinced than ever that we need to take a much larger role in forming the character of our children ~ it is much more important than whether we are professional successes or "get along" with our neighbors or anyone else. They are our legacy, and their world is under heavy attack from the Forces of Evil.

Godspeed our Valiant Troops! They stand for us, they stand for Freedom and they stand for our American Way of Life!

Please let me know by Freepmail if you would like
to be admitted to or released from my music pinglist.

I'm sure he appreciates those casseroles, too!
I think the coolest thing hubby does is....

...bake rolls and bread! :)

Dang! Are those home-made? I’m moving to your house!! LOL!

I don’t mess with home-made breads though I love them. I’m honestly not much of a kitchen queen. Quick and easy that tastes good is the route I take, and baking bread is time-consuming. Other places I’d rather be than in the kitchen. :-)

They are completely home-made and no bread machine, thank you. He kneads the dough by hand. Takes him all day. I appreciate this effort so much! He did buy a very nice Kitchen Aid Mixer with a dough hook....and I didn’t even complain about the price. LOL! Nothing I like better than homemade rolls with OR without butter!

Unless it’s choklit. ;)

Most of that time aint spent in the kitchen
Bread rises all one its own while you can watch telly.

Oh. My. Gosh.

Why would ANYONE "Bake" bread when you can buy it unbaked in the grocery store??!! DUH!

Oh man, you married a gem!

If I get to eat some home-made bread, it’s usually without butter. Don’t want ANYthing covering the flavor.

I don’t think anything’s better than chok-lit! LOL

I agree with you on the butter. I like them plain, too, and nearly always have one with my morning tea.

He IS one of the good guys!

And I think its fun to get the kids in on it and have a dough fight.

That’s gonna leave a mark with a frozen piece of dough LOL
