They were saying on F&F earlier that Gov Martinez wasn’t going to endorse and would not be attending the rally - guess we’ll see. Some have mentioned her name as a VP pick, but I’m not sold on her and I don’t think Trump needs to “pander” to women and pick a woman VP candidate (and I’m a woman).

Speaking of women, great little Diamond and Silk event in VA over the weekend. Here’s the short vid:

There is a conservative House member from there: I think his name is Steve Pearce. The seat was once held by conservative Joe Skeen.

Oh boy does it feel good to have a rally thread! Started a new play today, we are hoping to pull this off around Halloween. It’s called A Prediction of Murder! Plot is basically a group of zanies gather for a psychic reading where hilarity and murder ensue. This won’t be a dinner play— we are looking for a venue with a cash bar and cheap appetizers. LOL. I’m so off broadway.........

Hi KC/Sam!

Yes, the WA primary is today. I know folks that are voting for Trump and talked to a couple a few weeks ago that had already sent their ballots in for Kasich (heavy sigh).

I think he’ll do fairly well here. The Pubbie state convention was last week and almost all of the delegates were for Cruz (as I understand it, the area caucuses were overrun with Cruz supporters who selected the delegates to the state convention). They are bound on the 1st vote at the national convention to vote for the primary voters choice - fingers crossed and prayers up it is Trump. Note that they changed all voting to mail in only a few years ago - which I absolutely HATE. I liked going to the voting booth, blackening my circle with a pencil and feeding it into the machine; and, there are a lot more opportunities for fraud with mail only voting IMHO.

Here is a link showing Washington state returns by county. Click on "Republican" to see that map and returns by candidate. Looks like Trump, Carson, Cruz and Kaisich are on the ballot..........

The next few days could make Donald J. Trump the OFFICIAL NOMINEE OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY. Instead of the presumptive.

After today’s big win in the state of Washington, Trump will need ONLY 17 more delegates to reach the magic umber 1237.

There are 107 total unpledged delegates available, according to GreenPapers.

It would be a matter of great pride to be a part of the 17 delegates who put him over the top in this 2016 potus race.

Only 17 need to change their minds from the other candidates.

17 / 107.

It could very well happen before June 7.

Go Trump!

It sure does, doesn’t it! I’m glad that we’ve continued to have threads and/or add on to older threads so we could chat with and learn from our TF FRiends! I have to get used to him having rallies in the mountain time zone and on the west coast - the ones on the east coast were always morning to early to late afternoon for me. I think this one will be at 6 my time.

That sounds like a fun play. I applaud you for following your love of the theatre, both writing and being involved in plays - good on you - Bravo (clapping with a standing ovation)!! Wish I lived nearby so I could see it.

Hope DIL’s new job is going well and granddaughter is having fun (I’m sure she’s having a blast with you and all that you do for her like the fairy garden, etc.).

Originally the area was populated by former New Yorkers then became it's own city. Intel is there now and it's a very nice area with a nice view of Albuquerque overlooking the city and the Rio Grande river- especially at night.

Although New Mexico used to have the likes of Republicans Sen. Dominici and Rep. Manuel Lujan it is now except for the southern part of the state mostly liberal.

I live in Rio Rancho, just outside of Albuquerque.

I run my own business and this is our busy season so I will have to miss it.

Sounds like it is going to be a madhouse.

Thanks Ray.

Here’s the SoS official site:

http://results.vote.wa.gov/results/current/Federal.html

For those that aren’t familiar with WA - King County (liberal) is the Seattle metro area (I live in King County, but I think I live in the only Pubbie CD - thankfully!).
From Olympia (state capitol) all the way up I-5 through Tacoma then Seattle to Everett is pretty much liberal (especially most of Olympia and Seattle). Unfortunately, this is where the bulk of the state’s population is, so they normally win whatever election. There has been talk a few times over the years about eastern WA (east of the Cascades mountains) separating and becoming a separate state - doubt that will happen.

The east side of the state is much more conservative. For the heavy political junkies, here’s info on the various CD’s in WA:

Another interesting tidbit, the New Mexico state legislature only meets for 60 days a year and 30 days on alternating years. They are only paid for their expenses and have been democratically controlled since time immemorial......

Yea, a rally! I kept thinking “Come on, Donald, you can’t do this to us! Leaving us for so long without a rousing rally”. Good morning, nikos and FRiends!

Rio Rancho is a city of about 90,000 just outside of Albuquerque.

It has a colorful - if short - history. The city was founded on land fraud. If you have seen “Glengarry Glen Ross” you know about early Rio Rancho. In that movie they are selling rubes chunks of worthless desert land as retirement. The feds caught up with the real fraudsters and made them fulfill their promises of roads, schools, etc., and Rio Rancho was born.

The feds must have liked what they saw because Rio Rancho became witness relocation central. We have the largest Italian American club west of the Mississippi. Our main highway is named after a former mayor who was in sanitation and labor relations in New Jersey before “moving” here.

Now we are home to an Intel plant, an HP facility and several call centers. If you want to live in the Albuquerque area and want to be in the safest city in the state, with really excellent schools, you buy in Rio Rancho.

Hi etabeta,

Whilst we’re doing things on and off line waiting for Mr. T later, here’s a little video and 2 articles on Ivanka with some ladies from the LPGA (Ivanka has a great swing and in a dress and heels no less!):
