AP: Hillary dropping gender argument after study shows no one’s interested and no one cares

What if you threw a gender party and no one came? A nice catch from the Daily Caller’s Chuck Ross allows us to add this to the Buried Lede Department. The Associated Press reported a couple of days ago on Team Hillary’s delight over Donald Trump’s personal attacks on Hillary and Bill Clinton, but only offered this nugget at the very end of the report. It turns out that claiming her physiology as a unique qualifier turned more voters off than on:

Trump’s eagerness to make gender a major issue has complicated the delicate balancing act she already faces as the first woman to head a major party ticket.

Clinton has stopped explicitly mentioning her role in history and joking about being the “youngest woman president.” That’s by design: Those kinds of direct appeals weren’t working with voters.

“De-emphasize the ‘first’ talk,” advised a research report done by Emily’s List. “They already know she’d be the first woman president,” the report said of donors, “but we don’t get anything by reminding them.”

She’s the judgmental mother who disapproves of everything
She’s the wickedly evil grandmother.
She’s the shrew.
She’s not likable
She has no charisma at all

I think they mean “he didn’t run for cover like Republicans are supposed to when she went after him with the gender card. He attacked her back with on the same lines and we don’t know how to respond to that since it’s never happened before.”

He didn’t make gender a big issue until she did. Then she dropped it and so did he. If she brings it up again, he’ll hammer her with it again.

“And so it is when Trump tweets out stuff that sometimes I cringe and shake my head at. I don’t like everything he does but dammit, he fights! I’m with him! “

Bears repeating. Excellent summation.

What? You mean that Republican war on women is just going to succeed, just like that?

There goes Hellary’s *winning* issue.

She needs to ride out on the same broom she rode in on.

I encourage Trump to do it anyway for those 30 and under who never knew this !!

so true, people need to know this is not a caring person, the only care she takes is for her own self interest...

Also bring up her defending a rapist against a 12 year old girl , which Im sure The Donald will do

And if she brings up the wall, he'll make it ten feet higher! LOL!

The one leader from history she most reminds me of is...Mussolini.

The point here is that Hillary will say anything, do anything, promise anything, campaign on anything, switch tactics twenty-eight times, switch positions fifty times, whatever it takes to beg, borrow or steal her way to the Big House, er White House.

Strung out meth addicts have higher moral standards.

EVERYBODY is getting this slap backwards.

It has nothing to do with women, it has everything to do with MEN.

Hillary is losing men who have traditionally voted Democrat in the past—blue collar union, black men, even latino men—to Trump. Why? Because Trump is addressing the one issue that important to these men: jobs.

When Hillary talks about being a woman and focusing on women’s issues as president, what these men hear is their jobs will continue to go overseas; they hear that things will continue to get worse for men in this country.

Hillary talks about more government programs to help people out of work. Women may be OK living on handouts from the government, but men want respect—even more than love. And, in many men’s mind the definition of a man you can respect is one that supports himself and his family; it is a man with a good job.

The more Hillary plays the “I am woman” card, the more these men look to Trump.

Thanks GonzoII. The real reason is, no one polled believed she was a woman -- thanks to the new transgendered category crapstorm.

All I kept thinking was “what year did she dredge this issue from?”

She’s so “last century”.

“Trump’s eagerness to make gender a major issue has complicated the delicate balancing act she already faces as the first woman to head a major party ticket.”

Wow, the last thing Trump is concerned about with in a Clinton presidency is her gender.

Clinton want gender as an issue, and it’s not going to happen.

“Hot Air” fits the source.

BS - Trump’s counter-attacks on how she had protected and enabled Bill’s perverse behavior with women in the White House and before were biting deeply - especially those who were too young to know much about the Clinton’s history were beginning to catch on - finally the public was beginning to pay attention to the truth, and it was time to abandon the I Am Woman approach....
