Hillary Clinton's email verdict: Sloppy, not corrupt | Moran
Star-Ledger Editorial Board ^ | May 26, 2016

The State Department's report on Hillary Clinton's e-mails delivers a split verdict.

She clearly broke reasonable rules intended to safeguard the security of her e-mails as Secretary of State, and she did so knowingly, brushing aside repeated warnings. When officials in the department's record keeping division objected to this in 2010, they were told "never to speak of the secretary's personal email system again," the report said.

That shows a mystifying lack of judgment. Clinton behaved as if the normal rules don't apply to her, a troubling mindset for a potential president.

Your honor, its true that the murderer left his fingerprints and DNA all over the knife that he used to kill his victim. But that’s just sloppiness . . . . .

Much more than just sloppy. She was warned on many occasions to not use a private server. That’s the definition of corrupt because she blew it off.

When it come to the handling of classified material, sloppy is criminal. As someone charged with the handling of classified material Hilary Clinton had a positive obligation to handle it according to the regulations. Anything less is at least criminal negligence.

That shows a mystifying lack of judgment.

Nothing mystifying about it. She is corrupt and it was a willful decision to set up the home brew server to ensure she was aligning the State Dept actions with the Clinton Foundation interests with no regard for the national security of the United States.

The Star Ledger is an outdated rag that will go to any length to protect the corrupt Dem's nationally as well as in New Jersey.

it was sloppiness that caused her to get caught. when the clintons were in their prime, we wouldn’t have gotten so much as a whiff of this thing.

When handling and protecting sensitive classified information, “sloppy” is a felony.

"Hillary Clinton's email verdict: Sloppy, not corrupt | Moran"

Typo in that last word. there are two 'O's in that word, not an O and an A.

The Star Ledger has no issues with, confused (Huma said it) sloppy, dishonest candidates, who would have thunk it?

I refuse to link through, they probably get paid by their on line advertisers by doing so. How did the ethically challenged Star Ledger explain away the State Dept Higher Up whom took the 5th, the guy whom emailed another employee never to bring up Clinton's Server again?

Clinton behaved as if the normal rules don't apply to her, a troubling mindset for a potential president.

I've noticed on almost all news channels they got the memo to substitute the word "rules" for "LAWS."

We wouldn't want anybody to think the Queen was a criminal now would we?

This is the new narrative on Hillary: She was sloppy and broke some rules but did not intentionally break any laws.

It’s all they’ve got now. She refused to answer questions. She clearly violated both the State Dept rules and the laws those rules enforce.

Regarding the “intentional” part: Suppose I shoot my gun into the air to celebrate the New Year. Further suppose the bullet comes down and strikes my neighbor in the head as he walks out to his car. Am I innocent because it was not intentional? The same principle applies to mishandling of classified information.
