Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump told California voters Friday that he can solve their water crisis, declaring, “There is no drought.”

Speaking at a rally in Fresno, Calif., Trump accused state officials of denying water to Central Valley farmers so they can send it out to sea “to protect a certain kind of three-inch fish.”

“We’re going to solve your water problem. You have a water problem that is so insane. It is so ridiculous where they’re taking the water and shoving it out to sea,” Trump said to cheers at a rally that drew thousands.

The environmentalist agenda is not the environment . It is the destruction and takeover of our country to install a communist central policy command that takes every thing you have and every freedom you have.

Well I had my issues with Trump, still do. But if he keeps doing things like this I have no problem jumping on the bandwagon.

He says this stuff in the most basic terms, which are true. Yes, there has been a “drought” but there is no water shortage for people who need it. It’s all state induced.

This is an Obama instigated drought that the California leftists are happy to oblige. Part of the Marxist paradigm to destroy capitalist wealth.

Of course by the same token the water is “state-induced” too, as all the dams were build by the government.

I just hope it’s not too late. So many family produce farms in the Central Valley have been gutted by liberal politicians.

I am so glad to see Trump take up this issue.

Without most Americans realizing it we have become a communists like Country for many years. King Obama just put the nail in the coffin.

Trump speaks he truth and this so called water shortage is the communists liberal control that has taken over California. This State had the funds to built more reservoirs and did not. As President, Trump must order California to open up the water supply. This will seem like unconstitutional, but the communists empire of hurting its citizens must stop. Tell me a better way.

Trump for President.

Politically influential rural water districts and well-off corporate farmers in and around California’s Central Valley have been pushing back against longstanding federal laws protecting endangered fish and other species, saying federal efforts to make sure endangered native fish have enough water is short-changing farmers of the water they want and need for crops.

One of thousands of examples of citizens being ruled over by federal bureaucracies. Our founding fathers were clear that only laws passed by congress (if they pass the 10th Amendment test) are to be state issues. These federal bureaucracies filled with unelected officials are passing laws, it is a huge (yuge) problem.

Of course by the same token the water is “state-induced” too, as all the dams were build by the government.

There are considerable small private dams in California, however they have been under attack from the state and the state has been refusing to build or upgrade public dams for decades, while there are serious threats to existing public dams in the name of "environmentalism".

The only real efforts to "manage" water in CA is how will we transfer northern water to the south, and how much will be transferred?

There hasn't been STORAGE conservation efforts for decades.

Finally, California's large valley areas are rain shadow areas that fortunately have two major rivers that run through them, so "drought" is the standard pattern for California, but hurts only when you improperly manage your water.

As is so often the case, Trump undermines a legitimate point with an illegitimate one. There IS (or has been) a drought, and there HAS been mismanagement of the available water supply and failure to construct a better water distribution system, desalinization plants, etc. But all you’ll see in the news is the wrong half of his comments.

OK—Trump may be off on many things—and California has a cycle of droughts, but the attempt to save the “Snail Darter Fish” was a disaster for the farmers—that is a FACT. I am willing to give Trump a chance.
