“Life of the mother?” Do you realize what a legally broad “exception” you’re okay with? Legally, “life of the mother” includes one’s mental, financial, and social health, As, in the mom is going to “delay opportunities in life and be sad and poor because of the baby” argument. Good thing you’re not writing legislation or you would have given the whole issue away already.
Secondly, please tell me how abortions save mothers’ lives as opposed to a child being pre-maturely delivered by cesarean section or induced labor. Don’t forget how long it takes to prepare a pregnant woman’s cervix before an abortion is performed. If it’s an issue of saving a woman from dying, a doctor is not going to wait the hours needed to prep an abortion to try and save woman who will die at any moment. At least those babies who are born prematurely are given chance.
Furthermore, the “incest and rape” exception is just another way a so called pro lifer says that every new born life is worthy except if you were born of rape or incest, then you’re just another piece of trash. Do you realize how many ppl in this country and world were born from this horrible circumstance? You’re telling them their lives are worth less than everybody else.
And having an abortion would save your wife if she got pregnant? You realize the physical stress that’s put on the woman’s body when an abortion is performed? Unfortunately, your wife had neglectful doctors when she was a child and cavalier arrogant doctors later when she was an adult. It’s one thing to not become pregnant for whatever medical risks a woman already has before pregnancy, it’s quite another to say that an abortion poses no stress on a woman’s body in any way that could be considered harmful to whatever condition she already has. Here’s breaking news, abortion is not tantamount to a live baby being teleported (like star trek) from the womb to mangled baby parts outside the womb.
