1)Yes, he’s creating an alternative, but it’s really just an establishment GOP type because he didn’t get the insider he wanted. It’s a screw you to the Republican voters who went off the reservation.
2)Well, that’s what I’m saying. It’s his assumption. I don’t know if it will happen. I think it will just split the vote which will could give Hillary states.

Mitt Romney took it harder to Trump than he did to Obama, and that’s why he lost.
Unfortunately, check out the #NeverTrump folks on Twitter. You can find them replying on the Tweets of some of their leaders such as Ben Shapiro, Ben Howe, Ben Sasse, Bill Kristol, Tara Setmayer, David Limbaugh (although he hasn’t explicitly said he won’t be voting for Trump, but he bashes him all the time).
And Redstate too. Ben Howe of Redstate literally said #ImWithHer.
So you have seen them too, eh? Their profiles usually say something like Ex-Gop, Christian Conservative, and #NeverTrump. The thing that annoys me is that they truly believe they are the only conservatives (people who support Trump aren’t), and they sit on their lofty thrones spending the day insulting Trump. They usually can be found the pages of their leaders like Ben Howe, Ben Shapiro, Ben Sasse, Bill Kristol, etc. They will go to Trump’s Twitter and bash him as well as to the Twitter accounts of the media members following Trump. They will retweet articles from leftwing sources to make their point, yet according to them, they are the real conservatives. They claim to be pro-life, for example, but would allow Hillary to appoint SCOTUS judges.
These BASTARDS ALL backed Romney wholeheartedly, YET have the absolute AUDACITY to say Trump is NOT conservative!!! Hypocrites ALL OF THEM!!!!! Bill thinks far to much of himself for a complete idiot!!!!
You’ve pretty much nailed it. As you state, they claim to be pure & above reproach but quote sources from the most vile, lefttist sources imaginable.
They are truly irrational & almost psychotic. As a conservative, I can’t understand their “logic” about supporting Hillary over Trump & that giving up the SCOTUS judges would be worth it. That’s just insane.
I despise Jeb Bush, Rubio, Kasich & the other former GOPE candidates. But I would NEVER vote for Hillary (or Bernie) under ANY circumstances. That would be national suicide.
They are pro-amnesty, no matter what they claim. I despise that cult as much as I despise obamabots. Actually, they’re pretty much the same.

The only “impressive” candidate with a strong team is definitely not going to team up with Kristol!
I liken it to a massive temper tantrum. It’s children who didn’t get what they want, so they are willing to hurt themselves (although they might not realize it) to get back at the people who impeded their goal. Even my Cruz supporting, Trump bashing father is going to vote for Trump and thinks these people are nuts.
