I chuckled, in Germany a couple of banker people told me in NO UNCERTAIN terms, I was mispronouncing the name. We’re from Lewis, at least our grandfather was born there.
Kristol’s candidate is David French who writes for the National Review.
It sure would be nice if there was someone up on the side of the stage with a shotgun mic to point to each questioner at these press conferences. I can never seem to hear the question, just the answer. A shotgun mic would be easier than passing a microphone around from person to person.
OK, for the sake of your information..and I have actually ask several Scotsmen this. How do you pronounce the name? Is it supposed to be McCloud? Or McLoad, or McLed? I got several answers to indicate all three.
I suppose its where a person is.
