Before Ted Cruz framed his presidential campaign as a crusade against the Washington “cartel,” he engaged in a series of skirmishes with fellow Republicans, in particular Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky....

“Cubanadians are not eligible to be President.”

Ignorant people who make comments like that should go back to
DU with the rest of the liberals. Cruz is obviously more of
an American than you. Though I doubt you have the IQ to have
come up with a better and more realistic insult of a true
conservative, something that you are not, you could at least
come up with something original rather than repeating things
other morons repeat.

Your just another liberal disrupting nobody trying to create
some form of a normal personality, pretending to be a conservative by, of all things, bashing the only conservative
that was running for president. You don’t even realize just how stupid that is. Well there is something that you can do.
Your good at letting people know just how big a fool you are.

My family have been natural born citizens for generations.
Children of foreign nationals are not.

Cruz's Mother lived in England in the mid-60s, became a British citizen, then moved to Canada and received Canadian citizenship prior to Cruz's birth.

Cruz's Father was a Cuban national who didn't become a naturalized U.S. citizen until 2004.

Cruz refuses to release his records.

Ted Cruz is ineligible to run for POTUS and would have been destroyed had he won the GOP nomination.

How is that engaging in ignorance and DU-like commentary?

If I were Trump, there’s just no way I’d “really” want Cruze to “cozy up” to me. And these looney tunes here who still want to see Cruze as VP must have a severe cognative disorder, or they’re just “normal Texans!”

Don’t bother. Anyone who incorrectly uses the possessive “your” instead of the contraction “you’re”, especially in a gratuitous and pointless insult, ain’t worth it.

Children of foreign nationals are not natural born citizens and children of foriegn nationals born in foreign countries are doubly not natural born citizens.

Your messiah Saint Rafael of Goldman has been playing hooky from the job Texans elected him to. He was sitting poolside in Mexico while the beltway Uniparty was trying to turn our suburban neighborhoods into Section 8 dump holes. How principled and conservative of him.

Not bad, except for the fact that several courts ruled in Ted's favor. lol

loved when Cruz called the others out, but it's ironic that he burned some bridges then had the gall to call trump's statement about how Muslims hating us "unnecessary and unhelpful rhetoric"....

I believe that if Cruz had prevailed, he would suffer much more opposition than Trump will from the GOPe.

Until he would have gotten the nomination. Then the courts would have destroyed him.

Interesting observation, but I disagree. Courts love precedent, and those rulings in 4-5 different states would seem to rebut your statement.

Enjoy your day, FRiend.

“How’d that work out for ya? Now he is not only a failed candidate but more marginalized than ever in the Senate.”

Failed and marginalized? Without Cruz you have no Trump. What you have is a RINO running and losing to Hilarity. Cruz identified Washington as a corrupt, incompetent singular body which didn’t care about Americans. That’s why he was hated by the establishment.

Trump jumped on that bandwagon as he saw an opening that played to his style of leadership. Btw, no one else but Trumo could have done this. For him, this was the perfect storm. For Cruz, one senator out of 54 means squat both for a Cruz and the party. Without 60 seats every senator is marginalized in their own way.

Want Cruz to have influence? Elect more conservative candidates.

Nonsense. Former Bush admin official Ted Cruz self serving jumped aboard the TEA Party band wagon when running for Senate against an establishment candidate. There is not an anti-Establishment bone in Cruz’s bought and paid for career politician body.

Cruz has been an arrogant know it all with few if any real friends for years. Going back to his college years few if any other students liked him. Very few could get along with the pompous know it all.

Excellent summary. The “NY values” comment on live TV during a debate where millions were watching was a serious blunder. It gave Trump the high ground and IMO, Cruz never really recovered sans Utah (where Trump wasnt going to win anyway) and Wisconsin. From there it was an absolute schlonging.

All but one of those courts declined to make a ruling on the merits. So the is only one low level state court saying someone born in Canada to Canada citizens is a natural born citizen (NBC) of the USA. Cruz knows he is not a NBC.

Cruz mother married an English man, moved to England and became an citizen of the UK. She later moved to Canada and her UK citizenship allowed her to become a Canadian in only one year, which she and her new husband did. Cruz's dad admits he became Canadian, Cruz's mother is keeping her mouth shut.

To borrow from Ron White, Ted Cruz has the right to remain silent, but he doesn't have the ability.

I'm glad he put on such a show, though. My judgment needed the recalibration Cruz provided.

Like so many other people, I also misjudged him when I wouldn't listen to the early inner warning bells.

Looking back, Cruz turned out to be an evangelically anointed newbie Senator who played his base as stepping stones and the new office job they gave him as a resume enhancement to an even better job.

He then bailed on his current Senate job to run for that better job, all while being paid for not doing his current job, the one he convinced Texans to give him to do.

Then when his ego's "principaled" climb up the ladder ran its course and petered out at his level of incompetence, Cruz takes a vacation from his vacation from the Senate job that he convinced Texans to give him so he could get back to work.

I've worked around people like that, but never had one of those work for me or be around me for very long.

One way or another, they're soon gone and good riddance.

No class, no integrity and "nothing but me" trouble.

Don't be that guy. Don't hire that guy. Don't vote for that guy.
