I’m not a Trump supporter. Not even close. But, I would be remiss to let pass without comment the violence done to Trump supporters in San Jose.
These attacks are not only vicious attacks on individuals for which the perpetrators should end up in prison, they are also an un-American attack on free political association, free elections, and republican self-government.
So, I stand with the Trump people against all of these fascists who organize and perpetrate political violence. They are no different than Hitler’s SA brown shirts.
Dollars to donuts that they bused in a good chunk of those rioters.

California was part of Mexico for only about 25 years, and even then, without the permission or approval of Californians. The last 15 years of those 25, there were a series of revolts against Mexican rule. The conquista failed, and there’s no justice in the calls for a “reconquista”.
