The Honduran mother who delivered what is believed to be the first baby to be born with a Zika virus-related condition in the New York tri-state area flew to America to specifically seek treatment. In an interview with Fox News Latino, the young mother whose name has not been released publicly, explained that her initial symptoms were 'underestimated' by medical doctors in her native land. She said that a rash appeared on her in December and that she was also feverish around the same time. The 31-year-old woman decided to see another doctor in the Central American nation, but then decided to seek treatment in the US and possibly entered the country on a tourist visa 33 days ago.

Great post. So many of our older citizens don’t have even a chance to get hired. So many of our actual elderly have Alzheimer’s and need 24/7 quality care. We need to put Americans first for a while. Once we are booming, we can help others.

It is horrible how much free health care illegals have access to. The last time I gave birth I shared a room with a mom who also had multiple kids and didn’t speak ANY English. I bet she was an illegal. I was thinking of how we (even with 80% coverage) would be paying off that c section for months, whereas hers was FOR FREE. How is that fair?

If anyone here were in a foreign country and had a medical emergency or other financial problem - you'd be referred to your embassy for assistance. That's what embassies are for (other than promoting gay pride, in some instances).
That should apply always, anywhere, anytime for non-citizens. Would solve a lot of problems right there.
When I read about this the other day I wondered how in the hell she was allowed into the country. I guess it’s perfectly legal to time a “vacation” when your about to deliver a child? We’re royally screwed here!

In my town it seems about 25% of Hispanic females are pregnant - and there isn’t a taxpayer among them.

Chinese birth tourism is the least of our problems. They are social positives with low crime rates, and pretty much always get jobs and contribute to the economy. The problem is people setting one foot in this country and immediately signing up to live for free the rest of their lives. We’ve become a magnet for the indolent of the world.

This is absolutely ridiculous. I live in the Philippines now, and have lots of American friends also here.
I was told yesterday about a retired Navy guy who married a Filipina. He has tried for almost a year to get a visa for her to go and meet his parents in the US, but the State Department has refused to issue it. They are afraid that she would overstay??? An American citizen cannot take his wife to America!!!
In the meantime, illegals flood the border and Obama gives them the seal of approval and provides for their every need!
