Raising Cane - The Unexpected Martial Art by Octavio Ramos

A serious book for a serious subject. We're all going to get old you know (if we're lucky.)

ENasco.com farm/ranch supply sells cheap, octagonal, hardwood canes used for working with livestock. Take a few inches off the hook, practice the basic forms and katas in Mr. Ramos' book and you'll have a great defensive tool for times when you're faced with dangerous urban livestock.

Cattleman's cane 7/8 inch diameter
Bullworker's cane 1 1/8 inch diameter

The 7/8 inch diameter cane seems a bit flimsy to me, but anything 1 inch and thicker might be barred from some venues (it hasn't happened to me yet - but I'm old and walk with a practiced limp.)

The San Jose Police Chief has admitted to allowing the Trump supporters to be attacked. Chief Garcia is now trying to justify his decision. Read the comments section HERE to see the scope of the backlash in CA.

Think about this... We pay taxes,( which are pretty much extorted out of the property owners), Those taxes are ‘justified’ for Fire, Police and school services. When the Police will not do their job at protecting or at the very least enforcing the laws equally and impartially. It then lends credence to the idea that the Taxpayers have to start considering, (at the very least), not paying their taxes and justifying that action as having the ‘contract’ between the taxpayers and the city’s administration and the police forces being unilaterally broken by one side.

Just something to consider and think about as a future set of actions.

“Would the Trump supporters have a legal case against the police? Once they see an assault, they have an obligation to defend the victims, whatever the orders were.”

The State Attorney General should investigate that police department! I understand the Supreme Court has ruled that police have no specific obligation to protect specific individuals, but if they are standing around WATCHING criminal activity taking place and doing NOTHING, can’t they be charged administratively with dereliction of duty, or cowardice?

Alleged Offenses could include: Violation of Title 18 U.S.C. §241 – Conspiracy Against Constitutional Rights – which prohibits in relevant part, “two or more persons (from conspiring) to injure, oppress, threaten, or intimidate any person in any State, Territory, Commonwealth, Possession, or District in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege secured to him by the Constitution or laws of the United States, or because of his having so exercised the same . . .” See, 18 U.S.C. §241.

This one sounds perfect..

Yeah... L/E denial of Constitutionl rights needs to be explored/ .

Freeper Terry L Smith had a good one..... once again, the black uniformed municipal law enforcement agencies of California are acting of their own accord, with disregard and separate from the law.

Their actions defrauded the citizens of San Jose of their tax-paid rights.....L/E is there "to protect and serve!"

------------------------------------------

And keep in mind, L/E is getting big salaries, perks and pensions to protect and serve.

I give Marriott a lot of business too. Past tense.

I was to go to a conference being held at a Marriott Hotel. When their CEO criticized North Carolina for passing a law against men in the ladies rooms and showers I called the conference sales office at the Marriott and told them I was cancelled my 5-day stay at their hotel. I went to a Hilton, a nice one, right on the Torrey Pines golf course. Haven’t stayed in a Marriott since.

The official forms San Jose Police Chief Garcia filed on the incident need intense scrutiny.

If L/E falsified official documents....there's hell to pay.

I really didn’t know Marriot jumped into the HB2 “man dumps in ladies restroom” business.

Bye Bye Mariott. Did I say my job is 100% travel?

That’s not what our democracy is about

The problem is there isn't a easy, catchy way to communicate the actual truth.

Do you have one?

Same crap happened in Chicago when Trump didn’t even show up. Then Costa Mesa, Anaheim and pretty much every other Trump Rally.

Only the size of the crowd of Terrorists was different.

Why is THIS the first time that the Libtards have spoken up about it?

Partly wrong, sure. If you are in custody, or under police control, they have a duty. But 100% of the case law where people (not under the control of the police) have been injured, and the injury might have been prevented if the police had acted, those cases are dismissed as a matter of law. Call 911 and the police never show up? No suit will stand.

“It was a bunch of court opinions.”

Yes, we agree. It’s a court’s opinion. Nothing more.

“I don’t know what you mean by has no force of law.”

A judicial opinion is not law and never can be. Courts cannot write law. The only way a court’s opinion can become law is if a legislature agrees with a court’s opinion and passes legislation that agrees with whatever that court’s opinion may be.

No, I don't. You've given me something to think about.

Something along the lines of "Molon Labe" is what you are talking about?

No, I mean something everyone instantly understands.

By way of example, everyone understands “We are a democracy” instantly, even though we aren’t one. People know what is meant, more or less.

However, the phrase “we are a representative republic” is the accurate description.

But its’ awkward to say, and (unfortunately) requires more than a little explanation for most folks.

Blame our schools, but the awkward bit is still there.

I heard some talking heads asking the question among themselves, “who are these people?”

Duh? You’d think the Mexican national flags would give them a freaking clue.

It’s only going to get worse folks.

However, the phrase “we are a representative republic” is the accurate description.

You have it wrong as well. A Constitutional Republic has to have a Constitution, a representative republic doesn't.

Thomas Jefferson, Resolutions Relative to the Alien and Sedition Acts

In questions of power, then, let no more be heard of confidence in man, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution.

The Constitution is the primary driver as it establishes rule by law.
