The two teenage girls who are being accused of beating an elderly woman so severely that she had to be rushed to a New York City hospital have reportedly been turned in to police.
The New York Daily News reports that police are questioning the two suspects, with the first girl being brought in Friday morning by her mother after she recognized her from surveillance photos released by authorities after the attack.
The second suspect was brought in shortly after.
The young women were traveling together on a subway car Thursday afternoon when 78-year-old Norma Trotman reportedly approached the two and asked one of them if she could take her feet off the seat in order to make room for her to sit down.
Then, when Ms. Trotman got off at one of the next stations stops, the two teenagers allegedly followed her onto the subway platform and began to kick and punch her in her head and face before jumping on an approaching train and making their getaway.

No, it isn’t “anecdotally” that a “few” black people help a “few” white people.
I work a low-income job, and I’ve lived and worked alongside black people for years now. At the low-income level, which more black people are by percentage than whites, black people and white people are integrated, by and large knowing each other as people, beyond just race, and working with each other to get along, get past differences, and recognize all we have in common.
If racial disharmony was a huge problem in lower-income and working class America, America would have to shut down entirely. Since low-income work involves providing for society’s most basic needs, like food from the grocery store, our country would be in crisis like a war-torn one, or a communist one, if white people and black people didn’t work together well.
While low-income jobs don’t get much respect, and I say to a large extent that’s rightfully so, I also have to say that the people performing them, and the teamwork they do, is often of a much higher quality than people imagine. That people can get the basic things they need for daily life is a testament to the fact that low-income people do largely satisfactory work in teams, responsibly, and seeking peace and friendly relations with their co-workers as people, and not inventing racial issues and problems.
I also live in a city, a Southern one, that’s very integrated, probably one of the most so of North and South, and there are a great many middle class black people. They are considerate, too, by and large - just like you can say abotu white people
And, I work in place where I often have to clean after people. The people coming in are a mix of white, black, Hispanic and some Asians, of all income levels. This in a city’s downtown area.
As “whitey” doing the cleaning, and publicly so, black people who wanted to could easily make my work life miserable. They could easily leave a mess or two for me, and also just be discourteous. Really, why not? But that isn’t the case at all, and a lot of people come through this place in a day. There are actually are some people who do leave messes deliberately - most are homeless, who in this area are largely white, and there were a couple of notable cases of college students doing so- one group of white men, and one group of white women, who deliberately and openly targeted me by leaving large messes when I’d done nothing to them.
I know what I know, and I know that what we experience, we are witnesses to before God, to give either an honest account or not, by our own choosing. And what I know is that day in and day out, a great many black people seek peace with others, including white people, and treat them with consideration (and I have to say, that was what I experienced in the Northern city I’m from, too). In no way, shape or form is it just “a few.” That is just patently untrue. I only mentioned a couple of recent examples, but I know my witness includes practically innumerable examples, many of which I can recall, and many of which at this time I can’t, but I know I witnessed them before the Lord - and I most certainly noted them at the time.

That’s part of the solution; let the people who live there (or have family remaining in the city) deal with the miscreants. No accident that 3 of the 6 cops in Baltimore are black (including the ranking one), and no coincidence that none of those seemed unduly concerned about the perp either.

I am not against blacks. I am against the black culture that is producing so much savagery among blacks in this suicidal culture. The actions of these “girls” will destroy their future. The Darwin Award will be given them with long years in prison. If there is an example of the Culture of Death, these outrageous beatings are an example. They are a scandal to law-abiding blacks and it paints a terrible picture on the reputation of the United States around the world.
Girls probably thought they were doing something hip and cool. Mother just not with it (another generation).
