I’m with you Leni, when I heard Powell doing radio spots for zero in 2012 it made me rethink everything about him. I’m more convinced there is a NWO/Kabal now than ever before.

I heard earlier on the weather channel that it was hard to depict an eye on this thing?

I remember those.

I recently discovered that the termites had a go at my custom made shutters.

I'll need to make some more.

According to those who claim to be in-the-know, Colin is the earliest third tropical storm to form in any storm season since record keeping began.

We need to eradicate termites from the planet.

Your doggies are beautiful! All of them!

Per NHC Discussion, "Colin remains poorly organized this morning. Surface observations and data from NOAA and Air Force Reserve hurricane hunter aircraft suggest that at least two small-scale circulation centers are present"

Deathly calm with steady rain here. Swimming pool has reached max capacity. That is a good thing.

We are about to get a large, strong squall line. I can hear the thunder in the distance. Meanwhile, there are silly young men mowing a yard in the neighborhood. In the rain. Go figure.

Good info--thanks!

We definitely had a brief near-gale experience during the last large squall line. Big oak tree was dancing a jig.

Hubby is in Tampa on business as I type this... Thankfully his 6 am flight from Hartford was unaffected. In fact, he said his flight landed early.

What exactly are "squalls"? I see plenty of those coming to the Tampa area in the next few hours on Weather.com with exclamation points..

I'm used to (mostly harmless) snow squalls up here, but not the ones related to a tropical storm...

A squall line is a fast moving band of heavy wind, heavy rain, and usually lightning. May spawn water spouts/tornados.

btw--the Sunshine Skyway Bridge is closed due to high winds. Local reports indicate wind gusts 45-55 mph during the last squall.

Got it, thank you for the explanation. Yikes we were in Hernando, FL a few years ago when I believe squalls came through, and a nearby town got hit with a rogue tornado, scattering a bunch of small airplanes and other things. I remember it was April 1st... Maybe 2010, 2011?

We had visited you, then went up to visit my in-laws. They had to close the Sunshine Skyway Bridge then as well.

I remember freaking out watching the local weather coverage on TV... They kept talking about hurricane and tornado "watch boxes", and this county and that county. I had no idea where or what each county was, lol. Scary stuff. For me anyway... I'm not used to these type of storms.

I hope everyone in Florida stays safe!
