>>I hate to say this but Trump brings this on himself with his loose and inexact pronouncements.

Yeah. He needs a TelePrompTer to get his nuances right.

These so-called Republicans should show their true colors fully and register as Democrats, instead of playing this game.

All they need is four more years. By then they’ll have 100 million 80 IQ 3rd worlders here.

Jeff Flake of AZ. is another RINO like McCain, neither represent the old GOP....rather they represent the new GOPe. In lieu of supporting Donald Trump, Flake would rather see Hillary Clinton win. This GOPe is eating their own party’s choice...they have a habit of doing that if the GOPe can’t have its way.

They are using the exact playbook that was used to marginalize the Tea Party: 1) Back stabbing from RINOS, 2) carpeting bombing by the MSM and 3) a full frontal attack from rampaging Dems. Trump needs to outflank the GOPe ASAP or this is going to get dicey.

By the way, what is with his ongoing racist war on this judge? After all - it isn’t wise to throw trash at a sitting judge sitting over a case involving you in the first place... but to continue to launch race-laden bile... seriously?

Yeah, almost as bad as Ted Cruz insulting millions of Trump voters by slurring them as “low info”. Cruz attacking GOP primary voters? Seriously?

I don’t really believe the Rules Committee wants to commit suicide by changes to the nomination rules one week out, prior to the Convention.

The place will be stacked to the rafters with Cruz supporters, many who replaced delegates for Trump, but who surely won’t play ball with the UniParty in order to elect Hillary.

Trust is a rare commodity today, however, and total trust is extinct, so there is that factor.

The GOPe are clearly laying the ground work for a divisive convention. They want to deny Trump a crowning moment and weaken him.

No doubt Cruz & Ryan will try to bully Trump into doing something humiliating at the convention like allowing a “this is not who we are” vote against Trump by the delegates. With Ryan and Cruz involved in the convention there is guaranteed to be some such GOPe nonsense, IMO.

Then they and the party should die. It is time for a political revolution and the sycophantic GOP needs to be relegated to history.

You are right that Flake is McCain’s lackey. The damn fool forgets that ARIZONA went 2 to 1 for Trump. And poor little Flakey wasn’t tortured in Viet Nam.

I am rather disappointed that Trump is not making a louder case from this. (La Raza)

Trump thinks multi steps ahead. My guess is he'll have his lawyers address it and marry it to the racist judge.

This is what you get when you have sore losers. As a kid, I played marbles with these poor sports who, as soon as the game goes bad for them, they would put all their marbles in the sock and make some excuse for going home. Once they get the reputation for doing it, no one in the neighborhood wanted to play with them. I guess people never learn a damn thing in life.

We may imagine the Republican convention as one with turmoil and conflict. Wait for the Democrat Convention. The Bernies are setting up camps for their demonstrators against the Beast. They are calling it Woodstock 0.2 and it will not be all fun and games. I can imagine real chaos for the Democrats.

This is the Rule from the 2012 Convention regarding placing a name in nomination. How this will
remain for the 2016 nomination is yet to be determined as I understand it.

The Rules Committee meets the week before the Convention to develop the proposed 2016 Rules
which will be presented for adoption at some point in the Convention process.

The Rules for 2012 and the Temporary Rules for the starting of the 2016 Convention.

RULE NO. 40
Nominations
(a) In making the nominations for President of the United States and Vice President of the United States and voting
thereon, the roll of the states shall be called separately in each case; provided, however, that if there is only one candidate for
nomination for Vice President of the United States who has demonstrated the support required by paragraph (b) of this rule, a
motion to nominate for such office by acclamation shall be in order and no calling of the roll with respect to such office shall be
required.

(b) Each candidate for nomination for President of the United States and Vice President of the United States shall
demonstrate the support of a majority of the delegates from each of eight (8) or more states, severally, prior to the presentation of
the name of that candidate for nomination. Notwithstanding any other provisions of these rules or any rule of the House of
Representatives, to demonstrate the support required of this paragraph a certificate evidencing the affirmative written support of
the required number of permanently seated delegates from each of the eight (8) or more states shall have been submitted to the
secretary of the convention not later than one (1) hour prior to the placing of the names of candidates for nomination pursuant to
this rule and the established order of business.

(c) The total time of the nominating speech and seconding speeches for any candidate for nomination for President of
the United States or Vice President of the United States shall not exceed fifteen (15) minutes.

(d) When at the close of a roll call any candidate for nomination for President of the United States or Vice President of
the United States has received a majority of the votes entitled to be cast in the convention, the chairman of the convention shall
announce the votes for each candidate whose name was presented in accordance with the provisions of paragraph (b) of this rule.
Before the convention adjourns sine die, the chairman of the convention shall declare the candidate nominated by the Republican
Party for President of the United States and Vice President of the United States.

(e) If no candidate shall have received such majority, the chairman of the convention shall direct the roll of the states be
called again and shall repeat the calling of the roll until a candidate shall have received a majority of the votes entitled to be cast
in the convention.

RULE NO. 41 I omitted.

RULE NO. 42
Temporary Rules
Upon the adoption of the report of the Convention Committee on Rules and Order of Business, Rule Nos. 26-42 shall
constitute the Standing Rules for this convention and the temporary rules for the next convention.
