Washington (CNN)Vice President Joe Biden said Thursday he is "filled with furious anger" over a case that has attracted widespread attention after a judge handed down a six-month sentence to the attacker.
"I am filled with furious anger both that this happened to you and that our culture is still so broken that you were ever put in the position of defending your own worth," he wrote in a letter published on Buzzfeed.\
"It must have been wrenching to relive what he did to you all over again," Biden added. "But you did it anyway, in the hope that your strength might prevent this crime from happening to someone else. Your bravery is breathtaking."
Outrage has erupted over a California judge's decision to give Brock Turner, a former Stanford University swimmer, a six-month jail sentence for sexually assaulting an unconscious woman in January 2015. Prosecutors had asked that Turner be sentenced to six years in prison, and critics are blasting the decision as too lenient.

I know where she was found.
Do you have a link, because nothing I've read indicates that the accused admitted to "dragging" her anywhere.
Sorry, I think you're misrepresenting what was presented at trial.
Actually the testimony of the two that came upon them was that the man was fully clothed and that his genitals were not exposed. I also read that neither were her genitals exposed. He was found innocent of rape and it is probably based on these two facts.
A picture of the dumpster area is available here:
Men are evil oppressors (seems the motivation is anti-God and resentment over “unfairness” in the differences between men and women).
I’m not saying I don’t believe the woman wasn’t raped, although it seems everything has to be questioned nowadays. I do also question why her drinking so much, to a BAC more than three times the legal limit, isn’t taken into consideration more. It’s not something that changes whether or not she was raped, but it does make a difference in other ways.
But on sexual relations, that’s what feminists teach, and it’s a belief that’s popular (especially with the Democrats’ “women voters,” as well as liberal elite ones.
And they do teach that only men need to be responsible while drinking, to the point that the man has to gain verbal consent for every advance he makes, while on the other hand, the feminists say that women are just as sexually aggressive and willing as men, and it’s sexist to say otherwise.
I’m sorry. I didn’t read you closely enough. I thought you were just asking if he really took her behind the trash.
If I understand now, you’re asking how he actually found her that way. She had too many drinks, sat down on steps (or sidewalk - there is dispute) at the side of the house and “fell asleep”. In Texas college towns “falling asleep” is usually “good girl” for can’t feel your face anymore.
Funny but true - when I lived near UH campus I would sometimes find stray students passed out in my yard. I would spray paint their hands black when they were asleep.
Based on that, it looks like she had 11 drinks at the party plus the 4 she had at home.
Ugh. Just ugh. (Not you. The pic.)
No, I was asking if you were relating facts or just talking out of your ass. Thanks for clearing it up.
These are the facts:
He found a drunk woman.
He drug her behind a dumpster.
He disrobed her and fingered her.
He mounted her.
Two bike riders interrupted.
She was deeply unconscious. So much so that one of them remained behind to make sure she was alive.
The other one tackled the rapist and held him until police arrive.
This is not talking out of my ass. This is what even the rapist admits.
From the daily mail article link in 64:
“He recalls that her dress was pulled up and she was naked from the waist down. “
That doesn’t fit with no visible genitals.
I just read his testimony. He did not admit to dragging her behind a dumpster, nor disrobing her.
Andhe accounts for it how... I’m not saying his account is trustworthy but he does acknowledge she was behind the dumpster with him and that she was naked from the waist down. You just read it. How did he account for it?
I am not interested in debating with you. Sorry.
ANd I’m asking a direct question about his court testimony. He didn’t deny that she was behind the dumpster naked. If you really just read it you can see the admission.
Her being disrobed and him disrobing her are two separate facts.
If you accept the testimony of the eye-witnesses as to her state of consciousness his accounting of those things falls apart. Combine what’s left with what he’s already admitted and too many ugly things necessarily follow. Unconscious women don’t disrobe themselves.
(Sorry if I’m not prompt. FR is usually my goof around time. I’m reading other articles before bed.)
You said nothing that I haven’t already considered, and nothing that means shit. Stop wasting people’s time, noob.
You don’t have to reply if you think it’s a waste of your time. That’s your damage.
6 months in the county jail and a lifetime sentence to be known as a sexual offender. hmmmm. how many months in the county jail is hillary going to serve for a lifetime of crime, treason, and murder? none? yep. that’s right. none. how many months will slick willie serve for his lifetime career of forcible rape and molestation? none? thats right. its not what you do that counts. its who you are.
