California congressmen wrote a letter to state attorney general Kamala Harris claiming the freedom of speech “is not designed to protect fraud and deceit” of the likes being spread by oil company ExxonMobil about global warming.
Nineteen Democratic lawmakers told Harris her “investigation as to whether ExxonMobil lied about the truth of climate change and misled investors does not constitute an effort to silence speech or scientific research.
“The First Amendment protects freedom of speech, but it does not protect companies from defrauding the American people or improperly disclosing information to their shareholders,” lawmakers, including California Reps. Maxine Waters and Ted Lieu, wrote to Harris.
Harris joined attorneys general from New York, Massachusetts and the U.S. Virgin Islands in investigating Exxon’s global warming stance based on reporting by liberal journalists.

California Democrats don’t seem to care about Exxon’s right to free speech, since they think the company was perpetuating a massive disinformation campaign — all while somehow running one of the world’s largest oil companies.
Democrats wrote the oil industry “began a coordinated campaign of mass deception as to the truth of climate science — spreading doubt and confusion among the public and ultimately sinking climate action in Congress.”

One has to wonder where these delusional mental midgets come from. Worse yet, just think about the IQ and knowledge level of the voters in this congressional district.
The *only* fraud and deceit *I've* seen in this has come from the AGW side. Remember the East Anglia deal, Congresscritter? I sure do. Absolute fraud and deceit. But as I am well aware, *you* would say that the First Amendment protects their fraud. You, yourself, are thus a fraud, and I publicly call you the same.

Nor does the First Amendment protect corrupt politicians.
The climate hoaxers, especially the Bolshecrat Party, need to be RICOed.
And, AND, their INVESTMENT in “green energy or GE”. They used tax dollars to flash build “GE” infrastructure, eliminating the need for venture capital, all the while using government STRONGARMIMG to destroy GE competition... then only allow “Friends of Democrats” to invest for quick return on personal investment and producing a new well of campaign cash... All in the name of progress.
Nor does the First Amendment protect phony journalists.
Perhaps these same congresscritters should have their own words used against them on issues like Solyndra and Obamacare.
The only fraud and deceit has which has been proven over and over again is from the scientist who have messed with data to help liberals perpetuate the fraud and propaganda so more freedoms can be taken away by socialist demanding total control over American lives.
Who are the fascists? Who are the totalitarians? Who is supporting tyranny? The left , so quick to accuse conservatives, then just as quick to spew the rhetoric they claim to oppose.
As a prosecutor you need to prove to a judge that man-made global warming skepticism is fraudulent. Then the judge can order an arrest warrant. That’ll be a whole lot of science dropped in front of a non-scientist justice.
Oh! A selective Bill of Rights!? Who knew? Who knew that individual legislators were entitled to interpret the amendments to the Constitution?
