Included in the totals are refugees, who are required to apply for a green card after one year of residency in the U.S. Unlike other types of immigrants, refugees are immediately eligible for welfare benefits including Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF), food stamps, and Medicaid

Catholics, Lutherans, many other mainline denominations, bring waves of refugees here because the Federal Government PAYS them to provide resettlement services. In other words refugees are a PROFIT CENTER to many churches.

Yes. Few denominations advertise their lobbying efforts like the Catholic Bishops. Point is that those in charge of legislating US tax dollars, Speaker of the people's house since 2007, have been done by Catholic Speakers. No doubt that some prots have bellied up to the ‘charity’ trough as well. It is like the required funding of all taxpayers for planned parenthood... All taxpayers fund ‘religious’ charities..for Muslim and illegals.

Glad to see that some patriots are aware that Congress is the main problem, not Obama. Corrupt, RINO-controlled Congress has always had the constitutional authority to stop lawless Obama’s actions but has stubbornly refused to do so.

Patriots need to support Trump by also electing a new, state sovereignty-respecting Congress that will work within its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers to support Trump’s vision for making America great again for everybody.

Many regular donors and tithers need/prefer to have the tax deduction for said contributions. Getting into political/current events can jeopardize their 501C(?) status.

I am not limiting my observation to immigration. As an example, many pastors have been fairly quiet if not silent on pro-life issues~and I am talking even years ago when Operation Rescue, etc. were at the forefront of political movements.
