If the writer was Gersh the pantywaist, the "heavy war weapon" narrative needs to be re-examined. If the "arsenal" is loaded with RPGs and MANPADs, then the description is accurate.

Mosques should be closed and Islam banned in civilized nations. Islam is incompatible with freedom and will not coexist peacefully with anyone. It doesn’t matter what Muslims believe (or pretend to believe), the Koran, which is their guide for life, clearly teaches that the world must submit to Sharia. If there are moderate Muslims, they are heretics according to the Koran.

You are spot on! Islam is about submission. They want the entire world submitted to Allah. No coexistence with any other religious belief. To them there are two worlds, that of submission to Allah and that of those who don’t. Islam, throughout history, has followed a three step process:

1. The religious immigrate into an area.
2. They increase their followers among the minorities and get involved politically. Sharia law is imposed.
3. They become a military force that eliminates the previous culture and takes over.

The moderates are on board with the eliminating of the Judaeo-Christian culture. The only difference between them and the fundamentalist radicals is how fast the process will occur.
