Why would Mitch allow this? Dingy never let anything come to a voter he didn't want to. Period.
Now that right there is funny, no matter who you are.
So sad that it is true, and the democratic voters could care less apparently.
When in doubt you should always trust the government, they are only here to help. Really.
Yeah, I know. :)
As far as Mitch goes he’s about as liberal as Dingy, the turkey should have retired long ago.
Didn’t this exact proposal fail yesterday?
Not sure if this is exactly the same as yesterdays amendment but it’s got to be close. They didn’t get 60 votes on that one and I doubt they get the 60 votes on this one.
BOHICA
“...The Terrorist Screening Center does not publicly confirm nor deny whether any individual may be included in the U.S. Government's Terrorist Screening Database or a subset list,” spokesman Dave Joly said.
Disclosure of an individual’s inclusion or non-inclusion in the TSDB or on the No Fly List would significantly impair the government's ability to investigate and counteract terrorism and protect transportation security.”....”
If this passes:
1. Those placed on the no-fly list will never know they are on that list until they either attempt to fly or purchase a firearm. Someone could go through their entire lives not knowing he was flagged by the Terrorist Screening Center as a potential enemy of the State..That does not sit well with me. Sounds like the Soviet Union.
2. Will those placed on the no-fly list be visited by the feds if there is a record of a firearm purchase anytime in the past? Confiscation pending appeal?
3. Will there be a requirement to report that attempted purchase to the feds, followed by a required home visit by the feds. Again, confiscation pending appeal?
This “compromise” can and will go wrong for innocent Americans on so many levels.
If this passes, I can hear the left after the next event. But he was on the no fly list—they should have taken the firearms he already owned. No fly/ no buy will be replaced by no fly/no own.
About those appeals. “ Placing you on the no-fly list was a mistake. However, in light of (past treatment for depression for example), it is the finding if this appeals panel it is not in the best interest of public safety you are allowed to purchase/own a fire arm.
