Ivanka Trump's shoe line is a shameless knockoff of a wildly popular Italian stiletto ... so claims the Italian shoemaker.
Aquazzura claims in a new lawsuit, Ivanka's Hettie shoe is almost a carbon copy of its Wild Thing pump ... a shoe that protects the feet of the famous-ish, including Solange and Olivia Palermo. Aquazzura points to the color, shape and silhouette, as well the fringe covering the toes to the tassel on the heel.
Aquazzura says Ivanka jacked their shoes before ... copying its Belgravia shoe and calling it Necila, and also copying its Forever Marilyn shoe and calling it Teagin Pointy Toe Pump with Tassel.
That's shoe biz ...
The Italian ones are almost certainly made in Italy, I wonder where Ivanka’s are made?
Well, thanks for straightening me out.
Is the "rummy" in your name for the GAME or your brain? You AIN'T rummy in the brain, kiddo. Thanks again. Live and learn.
That’s kind of the point of my post. In my opinion, the three shoe designs are just too similar to have been an original thought from Ivanka’s shoe designer. Yes, they are not exactly the same but they are too similar.
One time maybe.
Not three times.
But this kind of thing goes on in the fashion industry. I don’t know if it creates an actionable lawsuit.
I guess we will see what happens.

Ouch
But Trump’s goes up to 11...
Honestly, I don’t know jack Obama about women’s shoes so I would make a perfect juror.
I believe there is no copyright on fashion just fashion LOGOS and labels. That is why knock offs exist and designers make the same thing just calling it their own.
Same look. So you have the $785, $145, and 21.99 (in UK money)
as your price points if you want to wear that look.
Cankles are thick ankles. I was blessed with slender ankles and wrists.
My mother-in-law, however, was 5'2" tall, 250 pounds and had size 11 feet and matching hands.
She was in the beauty business so her hair, hands and feet were always very well cared for. :o)
She had a BEAUTIFUL voice and she sang "Ave Maria" at our wedding. She had a GREAT sense of humor too. I miss her still.
It’s a mimic, but probably only women notice a difference. Guys would almost to a man aver that two ladies wearing these are wearing the same shoes.
we know it isn’t over till the fat lady sings (duckn & runn’n)
I can tell you that the famous red sole shoe won a trademark dispute with Yves St. Laurent. The shoe has to be a contrasting color to the famous sole to be included in the trademark.
All red is good to go.
Lol. You and Yogi Berra. :o)
For those of you that don’t spend $700 for shoes...this is the Red Sole Shoe

I heard Hillary Clinton’s dressmaker was being sued by a tent manufacturer.
I agree about the close looks. I buy and wear Ivanka, Ann Klein, JonesNY, Lauren, Michael Kors, Talbott and they are almost all interchangeable...designer indistinguishable. Some slightly more firm fabric or more “bling” but the only hard part is to match the Navy Blue pants to the tops...varied shades of blue. All the blacks, and most whites, seem to matgh just fine.
Ivanka has “high style” at slightly lower prices...or maybe I just like buying “TRUMP”!
If shoe designs can be trademarked...I don’t know if they can, this may be legit...
The men’s dress shoes I buy all look similar, but are manufactured by different companies...
Seems to be the same thing here...
Ivanka’s are probably made in China, like pretty much everything else worn in the USA today. Most companies go where the labor is cheapest. Vietnam is moving into that realm rather quickly, as is much of Eastern Europe.
US workers priced themselves out of the market. As I recall, the last American shoe mfgr (from ME) closed down @ 20 years ago.
Exactly.
Knock offs.
