Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on Friday welcomed the vote by UK residents to leave the European Union, saying they "took back control of their country", according to Reuters.

The presumptive Republican nominee, who is in Scotland, was asked about the British vote and replied, "They took back control of their country. It's a great thing."

"People are angry, all over the world, they're angry," added Trump. "They're angry over borders, they're angry over people coming into the country and taking over. Nobody even knows who they are. They're angry about many, many things."

Asked if he meant in the United States or United Kingdom, Trump said, "There's plenty of other places. This will not be the last."

Before the vote Trump had said he would be inclined to leave the EU and, on Friday he told reporters, "I said this was going to happen and I think that it's a great thing."

Trump has exchanged insults with British Prime Minister David Cameron, who supported staying in the EU and said following the vote that he would resign by October.

He should cap-cap-capitalize on this big time. This was a shot heard round the world. If there is to be war, let it begin here. Stoke the fire. Keep it going. Frexit, Nexit, Plexit, Finxet. Hear us roar.

Two states for two people. America must also be divided. Brohomia and Whitelandia must each be recognized as independent states, as must Fudgpackistan and Breederland, and Redstatia and Bluestatia. These conglomerate entities just gotta go.

Being there when it happened showed impeccable instincts and timing, whilst his detractors were framing it as a bad move. It also made him the ant-Obama. When obola showed up, the remain side went to pot. When Trump showed up well, he Trumped them.

I finally appreciate Mr.Trump’s authenticity. His braggadocio was off-putting when he first showed up (I was a Ted Cruz supporter).

Now it is clear that Trump gets it - the EU, NATO and the UN were created by bureaucrats, for bureaucrats to control free citizens of the world. Modeled on Russia, China and other totalitarian territories, these global entities are simply redistributors of wealth, resources and liberty.

I understand totally and agree with the rage against being governed by people who don’t care about their peons and who flood their subject countries with savages who are given welfare and who then frequently have nothing better to do than rape and murder.

But I have a question - and not that I don’t think Brexit is a good thing anyway - but didn’t a common market like the EU diminish the historical reasons for war?

What I don’t understand is why allowing invasions by barbarians have become a necessary part of “progress”. Seems to me if the EU hadn’t done this Brexit might never have happened.

I can’t imagine the British voters enjoyed an endless round of lecturing from Obama on his last visit.

Somehow the bust of Winston Churchill is having the last laugh from within whatever closet it has been consigned by the bitter Obamunists.

Seems to me that was the breaking point. The system can’t tolerate invasion. No economic system can. WHat the hell did they think would happen? And this movement will get bigger and bigger. Maybe we are going to have our own Berlin Wall moment. Because I’ve long thought that the US and Russia were in this dance together. The Russians fell out, crashed, and became what they are today. We never had our crash. We almost did, in 2009, but they papered it over and kept right on with the game. The worse it gets the stronger the response. It’s backlash time.

They need more. They need to elect Boris Johnson at the same time as we elect Donald Trump. Those two could work together and get things done. Like fast tracking a new Most Favored Nation trade agreement with Britain.
