He replaced the incoherent, wild robotics for calmness and modulation...but, when necessary, he became his animated, hard-hitting self.
In fact, there were certain parts of his talk where he was soft-spoken, rather winsome, his hopes and fears spoken with almost boyish earnestness...and it was really endearing and obviously emanated from his heart and soul. I was truly moved.
If this balance continues, I think we'll find we're watching the REAL Trump, not the wild man we thought was his real persona, but a well-rounded, strong, compassionate and brilliant man.
His speech was the one bright spot in what was really a horrible day today for our country and our justice system.
