A Donald Trump campaign stop in Indiana scheduled for Tuesday is raising speculation that the presumptive Republican nominee will announce Gov. Mike Pence as his running mate.

The Washington Times reported Sunday evening that Pence has a “95 percent probability” of being Trump's choice, according to sources close to the campaign and to the governor.

IF Pence is the pick, then my PENCE prediction from months ago, will unfortunately (or fortunately) be accurate.

Why unfortunately? Why fortunately?

Good move; problem with Newt is that he’s older than both Donald and Crooked Hillary. CH will likely pick someone younger and energetic. At least Pence doesn’t look like a 70 year old, so on the debate stage, he’ll look seasoned compared to whoever his opponent is but not haggered.

He’s also a social conservative, unlike Christie, straight, unlike Foam Party Marco, and honest, unlike Cruz.

I truly hope he has an ace up his sleeve.

I’m not excited about any one mentioned for VP so far

and I’m only so so on Trump overall.

Pence is a good pick. It looks like the announcement will be on Tuesday. There is no other reason for Trump to go to Indiana at this point.

The good thing is he’s not a full-term Governor.

Pence will be 65 in 8 years and checks all the boxes. Good.

see, this is why I love the Donald; Bolshevik Bernie will endorse Crooked on Tuesday; Trump will rip the wind from those torn sails.

Not sure I like this enthusiastically. He caved on the bathroom controversy, and though faithful I believe, he has shown an unfortunate lack of sand on occasion.

Still, it's a lot better than Christy, who has demonstrated an unfortunate softness for monied Islamic royals and their apologists.

Don't know enough about Pence to figure out if I like the choice or not. I suppose it is being done to help with the Midwest states - is he a popular governor? I can absolutely guarantee that the media and Democrats will be harping on a GOP ticket with two white guys at the top, so they better be ready to deal with those attacks.

Hmmm, ok. Not excited about him but Trump ain’t no dummy. Himts towards IN being in play for HIllary which I don’t like. After reading about the General I was excited about it being something novel. One thing about guys like Pence though is they aren;t going to slip up too much, knowing the game.

If he doesn’t pick Newt, he’s dumber than I thought. Pence doesn’t get him anything. Newt is the smartest guy in every room he’s in.

So EVERYTHING calls for an attack on Cruz? Don Trump would be lucky to have Ted Cruz as his running mate.

I have always liked Mike Pence. He is a well spoken conservative. He’s a class act. But Indiana is in the bag for Trump. Since this is the electoral college, it will likely only come down to a couple of states. You know the usual 10 or so states that are always a toss up. So shouldn’t the Donald pick someone from Ohio or Florida or Pennsylvania or Virginia or Colorado or one of the other confused states. What do y’all think. Any validity to that argument. I don’t know who to suggest, just thinking out loud.
