Democrats were calling and Mark Monroe knew something was going on. They were calling the local Republican Party chairman because they wanted to join his party.

They wanted to join Donald Trump's party. It turns out that registering is as easy as asking for a ballot on Ohio's primary day. So, he told them, just show up on March 15, and request a Republican ballot. So they did.

I’m voting for Trump but no longer want to be a member of the Republican party. They left me years since ago.

You're needed to help bring it back. We are at the point now where guys like John Ellis Bush and Mitt Romney won't go to the convention. Do you want to join them? Or join us, in restoration?

I am thinking about going Independent. My friend did a couple of years ago and she said she was getting calls from both parties at election time! One of the reasons I haven’t switched yet, LOL.

If Trump saves the Supreme Court for us we will all owe him a huge debt of gratitude. Keep in mind that this is happening WITHIN the Republican party, as ugly as it is.

There are many voters out there that could not vote in the primaries because there state was a closed state. There will be people coming out in droves to vote for Donald Trump.

I don’t get the hype. Can’t anyone vote their choice on election day? They do not have to follow party lines for national elections. For local candidates and issues, they may get party ballots depending on registration, some states do that.

This.

The election is over unless DJT steps in it in a big way. There is a HUUUUUGE undecided block of voters out there. All the independents are breaking for Trump.

All the while more and more people are simply turned off by the Clinton machine.

I honestly do not see that happening. No doubt the press will try very hard to make it look like he has, for sure. People are getting wise to media shenanigans though and the media is beginning to wield less and less influence. Thanks in large part to the internet and easily accessible conflicting news, or in-depth news.

That’s why I haven’t switched to independent either. The last thing I want in life are phone messages from democrats.

“If Trump saves the Supreme Court for us we will all owe him a huge debt of gratitude.”

IF... and that is a big If.

The day he puts a solid conservative on the bench I will admit to having misjudged him. I am not confident that will ever happen. I expect we will get another justice Kennedy type at BEST. I hope I am wrong.

Bring it back? Trump is moving into ground the Republican Party has never covered (Populism and pro-Labor) or hasn’t in a half century (Protective Tariffs). If he succeeds it’s a very different party, hence the panic among those for whom it’s been a personal plaything and employment provider (like four generations of the Bush Clan of Connecticut, Texas, and Florida). You might think it Grand but it’s not the Old Party.
