I assume there’s a reason the Trump campaign wanted me to speak

If that isn't the epitome of arrogance I don't know what is. Hey Ted, did you, in your feeble mind, take into consideration that the Trump gang wished you to be part of the/a victory? And not just Trump winning the nomination, but the opportunity to aid in the quelling of another Obama term? Of course not, you don't give a shit.

until the race became personal

Again,,,, did you ever consider curbing your tongue in the first place? I'll reiterate, you don't give a shit.

DON'T GO AWAY MAD,,,, JUST GO AWAY

Cruz’s performance last night was all about 2020. He stayed as long as he could in front of the cameras and lights all for the sake of 2020. His appearance had nothing to do with the 2016 election except possibly he wouldn’t mind seeing the election thrown to Hillary if he thought that would increase his chances in 2020.

There are certain people I will automatically turn off when they appear on TV. Cruz is now one of them. I used to think maybe he was OK. But as of now, I can’t stand the guy, at least as far as his political aspirations or public persona goes. When he talks, his words sound tinny and hollow to me - nothing solid, no ring of authenticity. Last night was no exception.

I just read a short biography on Benedict Arnold. What came through was a fatal flaw that Arnold’s personal ambition was more important than the lofty goals he was supposed to be fighting for. That’s Ted Cruz. Cruz supposedly stands for constitutional freedom but he’s shown me he puts his own political ambition and future first. In that sense, Ted Cruz is a Benedict Arnold as far as I’m concerned.

Someone said Cruz thinks he’s Reagan in 1976. Apparently his dad and apparently Cruz himself, think that Cruz has some sort of Divine Right to become President. I think they’re both nut jobs.

So instead he turns into a servile puppy dog for Mrs. Clinton.

This man is clueless.

His IQ can’t be more than double digits.

Cruz made the race personal with Melania slut-shame flier and accusations of Trump’s dad in mafia. Does he forget all that?

Go to hell, Cruz. Proves how worthless you are. We have no choice but Trump and Cruz will never be President. Can’t trust a liar.

Trump for President.

It is all about him, not the country, nor the party, but just him as he thinks he is the anointed one from Harvard who deserves the White House and to hell with all the voters.

Cruz has ZERO chance in 2020..if Hillary Clinton becomes President, she will import MILLIONS of Syrian Refugees here, give 20+ million illegals citizenship, and abolish the 2nd Amendment..look what happened to Chris Christie, all he did was HUG the President in 2012 and his political career ended..that is all people remember him for, a HUG, cant tell me what Ted Cruz wasn’t 10 million times worse than a hug

Yes, I agree that he was trying to emulate the tactics of Reagan.

No sale.

Trump is a decent enough candidate for what we need to take place in Washington. I would term it even better than that, because he appeals to a broad spectrum of people.

Ted would have appealed mostly to die-hard Conservatives, and would have bled across the party membership.

He would not have appealed to Democrats, and more importantly Independents.

Trump will.

Ted has an over-inflated opinion of himself, and is woefully ignorant of the political dynamics in today’s environment.

He is one clueless guy.

Yes. Let’s see more posts on FR about Mike Pence’s awesome speech, as well as Eric Trump’s.

He has no clue if he is hoping to get the WH in 2020. If she wins it they will make sure no Republican gets in it for generations.

Cruz did not honor his signed pledge to support the nominee.

Politics ain’t beanbag. Many things are said during heated campaigns.

That is no excuse to ignore your pledge to support the nominee.
Cruz is a liar. And dis-honorable.

Really disappointed in Mr. Cruz. He fought and lost, we learn that in little league. He should know that NOW is the time to make damn sure that another feckless socialist libtard doesn’t infest the White House.
