WaPo: Why Republicans should vote for Hillary Clinton
Washington Post ^ | July 22, 2016 | John Stubbs

Posted on 07/22/2016 5:47:03 AM PDT by Zakeet

We can't have President Trump, and she could do more to advance conservative ideas than he would.

With the theatrics and tumult of the Republican National Convention behind us, many Republicans remain steadfast in their opposition to Donald Trump to be president of the United States. The reason is simple: Their conscience says he does not reflect their principles, nor those of our Republican Party. Trump’s isolationist approach, bombastic rhetoric and ignorance of issues are not things we can be proud to support. The president is the commander in chief, a role model for our children and America’s top ambassador to the world.

Republicans can either allow Trump to rebrand the GOP as unstable, xenophobic and crude, or they can regain control of their party. It may mean losing this election, but if they want a principled, rational agenda that reflects American values and promotes liberty, prosperity and security, there is no other choice: Writing in or staying home puts Republican control of the Senate at risk, and a libertarian protest vote could toss the election to Trump.

The last remaining option is an extreme option: Vote for Hillary Clinton.

Oh sure, “conservative” ideas like gun-grabbing in violation of the Second Amendment.

And you didn’t even mention that she was a total failure as Secretary of State, one of the key points of the convention.

It might be entertaining though to watch the Dunceoids Party march out the families of the freshly annointed sainted figures of criminality and anti-police rhetoric represented by the man-child Trayvon Martin or the ‘gentle giant’ Michael Brown. Interspersed with some black fascist terror thugs from the BLM the newly minted agitators with special blessings from Obama, it will resemble a house of horrors over there.

The author “was senior advisor for U.S. Trade Representative in the Executive Office of the President from 2001-2007.” He is part of the Bush group.

The so called Never Trump people and other globalists were always working for Hillary Clinton and were always supporting her.

The Bushes, Romney, Kasich, Graham and the others are working for Clinton.

Lol, and so this clown recommends that people vote for one of biggest liars and cover-up artists of the modern era, with a husband who's also a shameless liar as well as a serial abuser of women. And that doesn't even begin to address their financial shenanigans.

What role models the Clinton's are for the children.

The propaganda arm (media) of the Democrat party is terrified that Donald J. Trump has effectively connected with a majority of American citizens who vote. The MSM rule the people by publishing the MSM memes, opinions, and biases as if they were fact, gripping to their unelected hold on power.

We can't have President Trump, and [Hillary] could do more to advance conservative ideas than he would.

Every time I think I cannot be stunned more by the sheer insanity of the left, they up the bar.

My IQ dropped 25 points by reading that one line.

If Trump doesn’t reflect the principles of the Republican party then, which party? The Democrat? The Libertarian?

No. WA Po, you missed the mark here. Read his speech again. You’ll see the truth eventually.

Libiots actually believe this. My brother is a raving lefty and tried to convince me that Clinton is the more conservative candidate.

I said, “Then why do you like her so much?”

What an absurd article. Yes, Republicans could call for fair and impartial judges. And yes, Hillary would nominate judges who she and her media acolytes claim are fair and impartial. Republicans like Lindsay Graham will agree. But in reality they’ll be far-left activist judges just like Breyer, Ginsburg, Sotomayor, and Kagan.
