Sacrilege, I know, but I wonder how the Kennedys would have been remembered had John F. not been assassinated. Vietnam was cranking up, we had the Cuban missile crisis that led to us backing down and removing our tactical missiles in Turkey, and JFK's potential October Surprise 'bimbo eruptions', he may have lost the 1964 election and gone down as a mediocre one term president, and by extension Swimmer Ted, Robert, and John-John would have had no legacy to prop them up.
