The Dems know the black/Hispanic votes are in the bag (for the most part); their media will work overtime to round up those that strayed. White voters, in the meantime, are still necessary to win national elections; I’m guessing by this choice she may have seen internal polls indicating the vagina card wasn’t delivering 50% of the white vote (the female half)...

It proves one thing: she is desperate, and forced to choose based on the Electoral College rather than the way she would want to choose, which would be identity politics (i.e., Julian Castro). Trump has her on the run.

They release the VP pick late on a Friday which is normally reserved for news the wish to bury. She had to pick between a lousy news day and stopping Trump’s momentum. That she chose today reveals that Trump each surging and she had to try to stop it.
