One of the last classic Brooklyn diners is biting the dust — and soon they’ll all die off due to the state’s minimum-wage increase and other factors, restaurateurs and economic experts predicted Friday.
The owner of the four-decade-old, 24-hour greasy spoon, Del Rio Diner in Gravesend, said his place is closing down because he can’t afford to pay cooks $15 an hour, along with rising rents and expensive Health Department inspection fees. …

Looks like we a got a couple other warehouse guys that are going bye bye. If they think they gonna get $15 for moving boxes and pushing brooms, they got another think coming.
Entry level jobs? Who needs ‘em?
Low-skill jobs? Who needs ‘em?

I guess those $15/hr protesters didn’t see that coming. What will they do now? Protest the $15/hr wage that’s killing their jobs?
Mandated $15 per hour results in $0 per week.
The war on jobs continues. Welfare recipients tend to vote for Democrats.
To add insult to injury, there are the ever-increasing Department of Health regulations, so Cuomo stuck it to these businesses double. He sure isn’t learning from the disaster Jerry Brown’s creating in California, or maybe he wants the disaster.

One thing can be assured. They're not simply going to lie down and starve to death.
Another of what Hillary called “under-capitalized” businesses is sacrificed on the altar of leftist theory - or is it just their thinly disguised pandering for votes?
It is both. Manipulating people for votes is the fundamental basis of leftist theory. Truth and morality be damned - they are only about gaining power to enrich themselves, no matter the cost to others.
Then add to that those hundred thousand dollar fines for not addressing an LGBT person with the proper prefix to their name like “Zir” or some stupidity.

The Left is ending poverty by criminalizing it.
At some point this stupidity has to burst of its own weakness.
As Thomas Sowell likes to say, the true minimum wage is zero.
It was like the Communists eliminated the homelessness problem. If you could not work you went to jail — but begging wasn’t allowed.
Why is everyone upset about this? This is the Laboratory of Democracy on display. Let NY state raise their minimum-wage to $15, hell to $50/hr for all I care and businesses can make the choice to leave. I just don’t want it happening on a national level.
