Well, every vote counts, at least in the swing states. If they continue to disparage Trump and his chances publically, then yes, they SHOULD be blamed.

This may very well be THE ELECTION of OUR lifetime.

I think Senator Cruz thinks that if Hillary wins, he can come back in 2020 to defeat her, much like Reagan did in 1980 with Jimmy Carter.

I remember this like it was yesterday. I was angry at Ford in 1976 because I was a Reagan supporter, and actually voted for Jimmy Carter, thinking I was doing right by destroying Ford.

Boy was I wrong!

Even though Reagan won in 1980, and I was ecstatic about that, the damage done by just four years of Jimmy Carter was devastating.

NOT supporting the Shah of Iran led directly to the Islamic Revolution in Iran, the Ayatollah Khomeini, the Wahhabis counter revolution, the rise of Saddam Hussein, Soviets in Afghanistan, CIA support for the Mujahedeen, Osama bin Laden, invasion of Kuwait, Desert Storm, US troops in Saudi Arabia, World Trade Center 1993, Khobar Towers, Nairobi Embassy, USS Cole, 9/11. And of course, this current Islamic scourge continues to this day.

I seriously believe Ford would have supported the Shah against the Soviet-influenced rebels in Iran, instead of superficially and naively supporting so called “human rights” as Carter did.

I wish people had a “It’s a Wonderful Life” like experience of just 4 years of a Hillary presidency to see the damage that even four years of her could cause. I strongly believe it would be tremendous, long-lasting, and terrible. Then, like in “It’s a Wonderful Life”, snap back to the present and vote for Trump!

The line on Carter is that the Shah would not OK a construction project Carter wanted for one of his Georgia buddies so Carter gave away Iran to the mullahs stabbing the shah in the back so to speak.

I remember Carter too and how Reagan came in and helped us all to heal from those Carter years. There are simply too many people dependent on big government now. Too many people feel they deserve something for just living in this country, regardless of whether they earn it. The Democrats promise the moon and sky in return for votes. People think they deserve help from the government. Hillary and Sanders and Obama promise help is on the way. They want to hand out more goodies from the government Trump seems more practical saying “hard work should be rewarded.” The country should realize someone must pay for governments
out of control spending. The deadbeats should not be rewarded. The people who work hard should be rewarded.

You are correct, of course, but this could all be fixed with very little effort.

Let's just say, there are certain places in the world that could use a little more "background radiation".

You are right about Iran. I was posted in Tehran during the Iranian Revolution. I was there when the Shah left and when Khomeini came in. We are still dealing with the effects to this very day. They are too numerous to list.

There is no doubt that Ford or any Rep would have aided the Shah rather than facilitate his removal. Carter greased the skids for the removal of the Shah and Khomeini hijacked the Revolution.

Obama did something similar in Egypt. Thankfully, the Egyptian military led by General Sisi was able to oust Morsi and regain control over the government. Still, US influence has been lessened in Egypt after so many years of us eliminating Soviet influence in the ME. The Russians are now back in, another failure of Obama.
