On the off chance that far-left Dem congressman Keith Ellison is on your holiday shopping list, we have the perfect gift suggestion: a good biography of George Wallace. On today’s This Week, Ellison claimed that Donald Trump was “the worst Republican nominee since George Wallace.”
Just one small problem, of course. As Republican Rep. Tom Cole pointed out, Wallace was a Democrat who sought the Dem presidential nomination [multiple times] and even addressed the Democratic National Convention [in 1972.] Ruh-roh!

Agree, but as you know this sentence could be used generically to describe so many of the untalented self-promoting scum that wind up in politics. Personally, I think everyone running for public office should be required to have spent at least 10 years in the private sector before being allowed to run for office. That, and strict term limits would be the best way to avoid having the unimpressive pathetic crowd we currently have.

George Wallace was re-elected Governor as a Democrat in 1982. He left office in 1987 still a Democrat.

Gov. Wallace was indeed a racist Republican, until he tragically died in the Great Guam Flipover. In fact, he once even described President Obama as someone who, in a previous era, would be getting him coffee.

I was going to vote for Wallace if he won the democrat nomination , he was ahead in delegates ,but then he got shot

I agree. You know, we just did what we think Blacks should have done decades ago.
Our leaders didn’t look out for us or the nation, so we finally had enough, and this year we took the leadership back from them.
