And precisely what medical condition do you use it for?

"And precisely what medical condition do you use it for?"

I have bad cramping in my legs. Doc prescribed a drug for it that has bad side effects and is used by MS patients. I used that drug for several years, and as the condition worsened, the doc's solution was simply to up the dose. The situation became untenable. Got acupuncture, and in conjunction with cannabis I can now sleep at night, and when I get out of bed my legs are not as wobbly.

I also have flattened discs in my lower back. It is from years of extreme mountain biking. I have had surgeries. I accept that I will have pain in my back every single day for the rest of my life. I've made peace with that. With cannabis though, I can reduce that pain a little bit, enough to live my life and play with my kids.

As an aside, I am currently looking for a strain with no THC but all the good terpenes that are actually the key ingredients. Terpenes are the key. THC is not the key.

Fused discs and rls can be very nasty.....They tried gabapentene on you? At any rate. chronic pain ( of any type ) is tough. Glad you are doing the acupuncture as well. I use it and recommend it to people with chronic pain. I also ice a lot. Glad the vaping is bringing you some relief

“My point is, if it were as addictive as people say, then by now it would be long gone.”

Not really. Nicotine is highly addictive and I have lots of cigars sitting around that I haven’t smoked.

As a guy who went to one of the best schools of botanical medicine in the country in ‘94 I am very glad to hear your enthusiasm for herbs! ;-)

It sounds like you have a very good grasp of their healing properties and appropriate ways to use them. For a variety of reasons a lot of people don’t.

CBD oil is kind of new to me, I haven’t used it myself. Are you using it externally for the migraines or internally?

I bought 2 grams a couple of years ago when I was between doctors (my regular doctor dropped out after Obamacare was passed) and I still have a little more than a gram left.

I only use it when my back is in a complete knot and the muscles won’t stop spasming. It works so much better than my prescribed muscle relaxer, is fast acting and I don’t need to take 3 pills a day for a week or more.

Thank you for your kind words.

There’s been a sea change on FR. A few years ago we could not have had this civilized dialog.

Now we can.

I find that refreshing.

Yes, Gabapentin: You guessed correctly!

Those “licensed clinics” sound just like the scores of “dispensaries” that have popped-up around here recently.

Your point about the importance of first-hand knowledge is valid.

Getting back to the “kill your lungs” thing; it’s been established that people can ingest medical marijuana without harming their lungs — regardless of where they live.

Seems to be the go to for many things (a lot are off schedule)....it is a drug that has really nasty side effects.

True medical usage of marijuana ( and there are many ) I don’t find problematic at all. Admittedly I tend toward libertarian when it comes to drug laws. What I hate seeing (and California has a lot of these types) are folks you just want to smoke dope so they get their card based on the flimsiest of causes.

Hoping you continue to have a good life

It is also established that some folks just prefer to smoke it
