Banish the thought! Worked in one of those rust belt industries for half a career, then went to law school and the next half a career has been in the places where law and engineering cross paths.

Something made me think that FCC has relatively little control of cable content, in contrast with having some control over broadcast content.

No matter, covered by FCC or not, there is no law or regulation that forbids misleading the public, short of defamation. If there was, Congress would be fired en mass.

Pat....I just read that you thought Biden’s convention speech was pretty good. I’m curious to know why you feel that way. His face was contorted with a horrible vengeance accented by flashing his dentures like a great white shark. His hate-filled tone was so over the top that he reminded me of union thugs from the past. Aside from the brief moments he tried to cash in on his son’s untimely death, he seemed on the verge of uncontrollable rage. This cat is a phony and has never been right about any issues domestic or foreign.

Worth reading for at least the discussion with Senator Sessions.

ACOSTA: Joining me now is Senator Jeff Sessions of Alabama. He's a senior adviser to Donald Trump. Senator, good morning. Thanks for joining us. You just heard Khizr Khan there in our interview here on STATE OF THE UNION a few moments ago. He said that Donald Trump has a black soul. What's your response to that?

SEN. JEFF SESSIONS (R), ALABAMA: I reject that. And I am disappointed that he would say that. Donald Trump complimented him. He praised his son, who gave his life for this country.

Mr. Khan's son served in the military. He did his duty and he gave his life for America and that deserves to be celebrated absolutely. But I don't think anybody that says we ought to slow down and be more careful about bringing in immigrants from countries that have terrorist tendencies and can't be vetted properly -- I don't believe that's a person who lacks a soul. In fact millions of Americans, a majority of Americans favor that kind of policy with regard to immigration from countries that have history of terrorism.

ACOSTA: But what do you say, Senator Sessions, to your fellow Republicans like Ohio Governor John Kasich, they're expressing disappointment in Donald Trump for his treatment of the Khan family. Donald Trump questioned whether the mother of this soldier did not speak because of her Muslim faith. Obviously, that is not the case. Could Donald Trump have handled this better, do you think, in your view?

SESSIONS: Well, it's important that we communicate these issues correctly. Every American, no matter what they are religion, is entitled to be protected in the free expression of that religion in America, but you don't have a religious right to demand entry into the United States. The constitution does not give that right. In fact, the law of the United States is crystal clear that the president should not admit people he -- classes of people he deems detrimental to the country.

ACOSTA: Right. But, senator, I think part of the -- right. But, senator, I think part of the issue is how Donald Trump responded to the wife of Khizr Khan, suggesting that she was silent there during the convention because of her faith.

SESSIONS: I read the transcript -- I read the transcript of what he said on the Stephanopoulos interview, Trump, you know, takes these interviews all the time, unlike Hillary Clinton, who hides from the press. And he -- his interview was not unkind. It was respectful. It did express condolences to the family for their loss, Jim.

ACOSTA: And let me ask you about some comments that Donald Trump made last week in inviting the Russians to hack into Hillary Clinton's emails ...

OTOH, if you think these media pimps are bad now.....give ‘em a while to read through the rest of the ‘rat playbook.

Dan Rather and Mary Mapes are veritable George Washington "I cannot tell a lie" characters, compared with where the press is today. Fewer and fewer people trust a word the press has to say.

Not to say the press is not powerful, or that they have gotten into the more powerful tools in their lie-box. I agree with you, they are just getting warmed up in their effort to take-down Trump.

He did try to cash in on his son’s death, I got that.

I just think he did a GREAT job of being a phony cat and being wrong about every issue, domestic or foreign.

For me, the fact that Trump said, “Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing, I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press." I knew it was sarcasm given his view of the media.

And his view of Hillary's cavalier attitude toward the security of secrets that aren't hers - he was mocking the press for its "lack of curiosity" too. Bigtime zinger.

The press did manage to spin it up into a manufactured issue, but a person would have to be totally ignorant of the event as it happened, to accept a contention so stupid as "Trump was (in that remark) asking Russia to commit espionage."

And then we get the spectacle of a senator, McCaskill, saying Trump should be investigated under the Logan Act?! Beam me up, Scotty, there is no intelligent life in the press.

He is a man of supreme honor and integrity and devoted public servant who puts his country first.
Great that he boarded the Trump Train early on and hopefully he will be instrumental in helping get President Trump’s agenda through the Senate come January!!

Take a look at the Establishmedia handling of Sean Smith’s mom and this Mooselip. One was lied to by Hillary and the other makes unfounded charges against Trump and the feigned outrage machine cranks up. The same old PC pablum.

Agreed. As I indicated earlier, the media and its connections to the DNC are evident if you read many of the emails, as I did. Even the press had to report one instance where a Politico reporter cleared his story first with the DNC before sending it to his editor.

The MSM, understandably, would rather focus on the source of the leaks than the incriminating substance. The fact that Stephy is being allowed to participate as an "objective journalist" including interviewing Trump shows how far in the tank the MSM is with the Dems and Hillary.

The Bush family, Kasich, Ryan, the Koch brothers, George Will, Cruz, Bill Kristol, Romney, Scowcroft, Zuckerberg, and a host of other neverTrumpers/globalists demonstrate how fanatical the Establishment will be in trying to stop the outsider, Trump. Lots of rice bowls will be broken if he is elected.

We are witnessing the most important political struggle in my lifetime. The stakes are enormous. You don't have to be a conspiracy nut to see what forces are lining up against the people. We are witnessing a Revolution. Will it be successful? Maybe and maybe not.
