It doesn’t target minorities. Abbott et al are pro-Cruz / NeverTrump and setting up for a Trump loses, and Cruz win in 2020.
Wake up Texas!! If Hillary wins, there will be no 2020!!

What can we do about this? ...and don’t say “nothing”...pls don’t say nothing.

I too have my moments of doubt. Were HRC to be POTUS, I see too many in this country that will sit idly be and do nothing, despite their anger and outrage. It simply would not be enough to garner any physical reaction from them. Any armed resistance would be met with violent reprisal and would flounder before taking hold.
In contrast to the myriad voices here that preach the opposite, I see many who would shout at their TVs the night of the election and simply go to work the next day and sulk. No protestations of merit, no call to bring down the lawless in this country that seek to eradicate conservatism from their socialistic utopia. There is simply no concerted organization, likely out of fear of that no-knock warrant that would hit at 0300.

When tyranny conquers the land it will be wrapped in the banner facetiously marked Voting Rights.

You know, I’ve been showing my drivers license when I vote for years and not once have I ever got my shorts in a bunch over it.
Saying these laws are somehow undue hardships on particular groups is a lot like opining those groups are full of nincompoops.

Gutless wonders!
We in Kansas had to show our photo ID to vote yesterday!
More Americans (especially Texans) need to stand strong against a few hand-picked liberal lawyers in black robes, who are holding sway over this country!
Even the Supreme Court (no conservatives there) stand by voter ID laws!!!

According to the article, the courts threw out the existing law. The weakened law was a last-ditch effort by Texas to have at least some restrictions on who could vote. It really doesn't matter what laws we pass. We are now ruled by judges.

You have to show picture ID to go to an impounded car to get something out of it, but not for voting.

...target minorities and the poor.
Actually, they target the lazy and the stupid. Why is that a bad thing?
