Booby-traps made from buried boards and nails, strung barbed wire and hidden broken bottles have been placed for the past month on a park trail popular with hikers and bicyclists, police said Thursday.
The traps were found by a Wayne resident in High Mountain Park Preserve, Wayne police Capt. Laurence W. Martin said in a statement.

Only place I would consider booby trapping is my own property in a shtf scenario.
There was an environmental activist out in Lubbock that was stringing up wire neck high on trails used by bicyclists. He must have been from a good family, because they let him re-locate to a Dallas suburb so he could live near a popular bicycle trail. Many years ago a parcel of land that abutted our home was used for the owners wilderness experience. Their two sons would roll in around 7 pm year round with their buddies for drinking, fires, ATV’s at 2 am, screeching tires & racing motors and all.
True - you don’t own the land beyond the property line however.... a$$holes are a$$holes.... they do not care who is harassed and it runs in families.
They could never grasp the concept that some folks arose @5:45 am to get to work.
So people are crazy? I can understand having stood on that edge myself.
