Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) says Donald Trump's controversial line about "Second Amendment people" qualifies as an assassination threat against Hillary Clinton.

Murphy was addressing a remark Trump made earlier Tuesday about what kind of Supreme Court justices Clinton would appoint as president.
"Hillary wants to abolish, essentially abolish, the Second Amendment," he said. "By the way, if she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks.
"Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is, I don’t know," Trump added.
Other Democrats joined Murphy in condemning Trump's remarks.

If we get uber-liberal judges who make the Bill of Rights irrelevant, a portion of the American people will fight back if gun ownership is outlawed. Donald Trump is correct in that such a scenario would indeed be a terrible thing.

In light of the fact that the Establishment politicians and their allies in the media and elsewhere have thrown Trump into political hit zone, using vicious character assassination and setting up the atmosphere for an actual assassination attempt - it’s high time they started thinking about the “second amendment people.”
I’m not sure what he meant, but I’m glad he said it. Let them keep wringing their hands and thinking.
As soon as Trump said those words, democrat operatives picked them apart, looking for a way to get him. They knew he hadn’t made a threat, but knew that the media would treat it as if he did. Now that’s the official interpretation.
