$52 million to $0: That's how much Hillary's campaign is outspending Trump's on TV ads
Business Insider ^ | 8/10/2016 | Allan Smith

Donald Trump's campaign has spent $0 on TV ads in the general-election season — a big drop off from the $52 million being spent by Hillary Clinton's campaign.

Recently released ad-spending data from Advertising Analytics showed that Trump's campaign not only spent astronomically less than Clinton's, but also those of Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson and Green Party nominee Jill Stein.

However, pro-Trump PACs have spent more than $8 million on TV ads during the general-election cycle — still a significant decline from pro-Clinton groups spending more than $37 million.

After a slow start, Trump's fundraising has picked up steam, with the candidate pulling in roughly $80 million last month. Clinton's campaign reported $90 million in fundraising last month.

Meant to add ‘FR pearl clutchers on their way’.

Trump’s direct response to the question “It’s too soon”.

Hillary is trying to buy the election by spending a lot of money.

Political ads have a short shelf life and are increasingly ineffective.

Trump is tied with Hillary in the polls despite not having spent a cent on TV ads.

Hillary needs to spend more! It worked for a guy named Jeb Bush.

Trump does an amazingly successful job at getting free publicity but I really do think he needs to start SUPER_SPENDING on both ads and poll-watchers and getOutTheVote people...if he really wants to win.

The mass media is so prejudiced against him that it will not report his statements fairly, indeed it often distorts what he says miserably

he needs to control his messages! he can only really do this if he starts paying for them!

Well, I just played Nights in White Satin, Moody Blues, and a Trump ad popped up; that is good.

Yep, and like Jeb, she is getting zero traction.

Rope a dope. Hillary, the most vulnerable candidate EVER in terms of history, audio and video is swinging away like mad while Trump leans on the ropes...in October Hillary will learn the meaning of the word INCOMING.

A ton of money doesn’t guarantee success.

If people hate anything, its the perception a rich candidate wants to buy an office.

Hillary must be desperate if she needs to spend a lot of money to hold off a surging Trump.

Of course, the MSM has already given her an advantage on the money front.

Poor Trump doesn’t stand a chance.

I expect the onslaught will begin after Olympics or Labor Day when voters start to focus.

Jeb spent a $150,000 to secure a measly three delegates.

Trump is pulling the political version of the “rope-a-dope. After Clinton punches herself out, he will hit her hard when she has nothing left to spend.

Mitt spammed the airwaves in 2012 right after the GOP convention through Election Day.

He lost.

People hate spam and develop an immunity to it.

The ads aren’t working because like Mitt, Hillary isn’t good sausage.

No ad can sell a product no one wants to buy - or get a bad politician elected.

Nope, instead Trump is meeting with the people face to face. His war chest is intact and ready to roll after the end of summer rolls around. The ads in the summer are ineffective anyway since most people are not really committing that much thought to the election right now. By that time, Hillary’s ads will be repeats of the same old thing, while Trump’s messages will be listened to more intently.
