DETROIT — A Muslim flight attendant has sued ExpressJet, accusing the airline of wrongly suspending her because she refused to serve alcohol to passengers.
The Council on American-Islamic Relations’ Michigan chapter announced Tuesday it filed the lawsuit last week on behalf of Charee Stanley, a Detroit-based flight attendant for the airline headquartered in Atlanta.

I’ve been in business class on Emirates, Etihad, and Air Jordan commercial flights into and out of several destinations in the Middle East. Those flights serve alcohol. While I didn’t ask the flight attendants their religion, their skin color and facial characteristics strongly indicated they are natives of the region.
The Garuda Indonesia (airline of Indonesia) website states the airline serves in flight “wines, champagnes, cocktails, liqueurs.” Indonesia is the largest Muslim country in the world.
Hopefully Express Jet’s attorneys are planning to try the case and will bring the practices of Muslim owned airlines to the attention of the judge and jury.

Did the woman not know alcohol was served when she took the job, or trained for it? Did she not serve alcohol while doing her job? How long had she worked there already? When did she suddenly discover she was a “devout” Muslim?

Actually not. Most of the pharmacists (all of the ones that I am aware of actually) that have been attacked for not dispensing abortion pills have owned their own pharmacies, OR were employed as pharmacists well before the abortion pill became available. The demand to enable abortions was a unilateral change in their working conditions. These men or women were targeted because they were Christian or otherwise pro-life.

If her religion prevents her from doing her job then she shouldn’t have applied for it in the first place. In the case of a male Muslim flight attendant would his faith prevent him from assisting women from exiting the airplane in an emergency?

The press is saying he’s bringing forth a lawsuit, he’s BEEN advancing a lawsuit since the first month of that incident. This is just continuing it. And to think, he SAID he was returning simply because he was homesick. Lies. More damn lies.
Does freedom of religion depend on the timing of working conditions and what you did or did not know when you took the job?
Example. A person converts to a different religion without changing jobs. Does a new convert have less religious freedom than a person born to a religion?
